No, you can't. The DS is not compatible with playing through the TV. In addition, the power of the DS is so comparatively low the image would likely be little more than a mass of pixels. If you want to play through a monitor you would need to use an emulator.

Can this console play original game boy games and game boy colour games?

It can play gameboy advance+ any ds games but not the original gameboy games :-)
