COVERGIRL - Eye Enhancers 4-Kit Eyeshadow - Pure RomanceI had some hesitation after opening the package and finding such a difference in the shades I received (see photo) and the shades I thought I had ordered. But after scanning the bar code (and trying very hard to read the teeny tiny white printing on a pale pink background on the back) I have come to the conclusion that I did not, in fact, receive the wrong colors. So while I was hoping for mauvey pink tones, what I got, as you can see, was a lot more lavender/purple with gray tones.I considered returning it, but figured since I'd gotten it at a good price, I'd give it a try, if I hated it, I'd pass it along to someone else.Well... to my surprise, I really liked it. The colors are sheer but just pigmented enough that you can put them on and see them on your lids without having to spend 5 minutes with a blending brush to tone down the color. So you can definitely build to the depth and amount of color that you want.The quality is very nice; it looked just as good at 5 pm as it did when I put it on. The colors are soft and creamy and go on easily. I didn't notice any smudging or fading.If it helps, I am fair-skinned with blue/gray eyes and cool undertones, and while I am not normally a fan of purple shades (I am much more comfortable with nude or neutral shades) because they tend to be too bright for me, I don't mind these. I am considering ordering some of the other shades, but hesitant since I don't know what colors I will actually end up with.But other than that, I would recommend them--but maybe check them out in a store first and see how the colors in the picture compare to the real thing.

Ty for caring about people cover girl. Plus this product is great! The white really highlights the eyes. I was shocked bc it was natural and amazing! And so affordable. It blends amazing! And stays on all day! Ty for an amazing product i was so surprised. A+++

Very nice colors and texture.. Easy to use applicator.

the pure romance is full of nice colors, matte/satin mauve/pinks and darker wine/purple. The disappointing thing (for me) to be aware of is that the lightest color for some reason is NOT matte--it is sparkly and has glitter chunks that fall off all over your cheeks. I thought I could use that as a neutral base and for the upper eyelids but it completely failed in that department. I will skip using that one, but for the price it is still good. has good coverage and lasted well during the day. My pallette had the colors out of order, maybe that's why it is on Amazon?

Rose Beam is a lovely color. It is a satin type shadow. Applies easily.

Mainly ordered this for the black shimmer color. It's definitely pretty, but there's a lot of cleanup involved.I've only used it maybe 5 times (haven't used the other colors yet) and you can see from the picture that it gets everywhere easily even though I go in very lightly with the brush.Speaking of which, there is *a lot* of fallout when applying. Definitely recommend applying this shadow *before* applying face makeup since cleanup will be needed. The black smears when you try to wipe it off your face so a makeup wipe or micellar water cotton pad will be needed to fully clean it off. On the plus side, random fallout during the day actually isn't too bad and even after 8-10 hours the shadow doesn't look faded or smeared.The sticker/seal that holds the case together leaves a sticky residue on the outside when removed before first use. I tried scraping the adhesive off with a makeup wipe but it just got soggy for a bit, then back to sticky 😑Also would like to point out that the enclosed applicator "wand" doesn't do the trick and the shadow went on very lightly while using it. However when using my own small angled brush, it went on very smoothly and much more pigmented. Just don't push your brush too hard into the eyeshadow or the whole thing will likely crumble.Might order this again despite the issues because the shimmery black is actually pretty and it's affordable. It just seems a bit messy.

Great color, very easy to apply and subtle.

This is a nice pale pink pallet. It’s not very pigmented so even the darkest plum shade is pretty light when worn. Still a great color quad that I use regularly. There is a bit of fallout from the eyeshadow but you get what you pay for when it comes to that, I’ve found out. The color lasts a long time and no creasing on my sometimes greasy lids.
