I recently bought Kraken Black Spiced Rum, 1L, and it has quickly become my favorite choice for rum. Here’s why I think it deserves a full 5-star rating: Pros: Rich and Bold Flavor: The flavor profile of Kraken Black Spiced Rum is incredibly rich and bold. Accept no substitutes - this is simply the best spiced rum on the market. You will not get a better rum at this price - Amazon has 70cl at £20 as do most supermarkets when on offer - and it is better than spiced rums priced higher like Rumbullion and Crusty Juggler. It's got a smooth, refreshing and not overpowering taste. It does not foam up when mixed like cheaper rums, giving a pleasing consistency in the glass. It mixes brilliantly with Coke, Diet Coke and Coke Zero (I use Diet Coke). I would not recommend mixing with Lemonade but it does mix with Ginger Beer very well. I have not found any rum as good as Kraken, it's the best and it's the best value for money, but if you do need an alternative, I'd say Black Magic, Crusty Juggler or Captain Morgan Black Spiced Rum are the only alternatives. Avoid Sailor Jerry and Dead Man's Fingers.

Picked up this Kraken gift set and it’s genuinely a lovely little package. The rum itself is brilliant — really rich and smooth with that classic spiced flavour Kraken’s known for. It tastes great on its own, over ice, or even just topped up with a bit of water or Coke. Super easy to drink and not too harsh at all. Can't go wrong with Kraken. The glass that comes with it is proper nice too. It’s heavier than I expected, with a cool smoky effect and the Kraken logo/ tentacle design on the side. Looks really good next to my bottles. Definitely a nice piece to own The packaging is also really well done — makes it feel like a genuine gift rather than just throwing a bottle and cheap glass together. Definitely worth picking up either for yourself or as a present for someone else, absolutely amazing deal for the price.

Purchased this for a friend Although i have tried it, it tastes smooth with a hint of vanilla goes great with diet coke. Plus its in a lovely bottle

A go to staple when we just want a "standard" rum, I have several bottles of quite expensive rums but for around £20 when purchased you cannot go wrong. Slightly sweet, not spiced in a "clovey" way, tastes a bit like it already has a splash of cola in it. Been drinking this for several years now, avoid the flavoured ones, stick to the original and you wont go far wrong.

Best Rum I've had, goes well with just ice, or on its own, or a little in coffee. Taste's kinda sweet but not too sweet it has some flavours, people are right it doesn't last long once you open it, I don't think it should cost over 22 quid though for a litre. aside from that its good product to share with friends and family. Update- The coffee version is actually quite nice, it's strong coffee flavour, with rum both are very distinct and can be felt in the taste buds unique yet at the same time, I don't know what other reviews are saying about it, I personally felt both the coffee the alcohol and even after bitter sweet taste of that coffee, so it was bitter sweet rum with coffee that's how I would describe this. If you just want bitter and no sweet this isn't for you. I like it even though I hate sweet things really in general, but this coffee one was really nice. The review above update is based on the normal kraken rum. Both are just great and wish they were cheaper as I can only afford it once a year on Black Friday deals. Typically when its 17 quid for 1L. This year was a bit higher thanks to inflation, and was about 20 quid for coffee version and 23 quid for normal black Kraken, give or take a few pennies. Really wish 1L each and both 17 quid each, I would then be able to get more for birthdays and the like, not just Christmas.

Apres avoir acheter une bouteille en magasin que j ai trouvé tres bonne. J ai acheter une bouteille chez vous ,elle était pas tres bonne .je pense qu il y a un problème de qualité avec se produit. Le goût été complètement différent entre les deux produits ???

Ich habe den Kraken Black Spiced Rum sowohl pur als auch in Mixgetränken probiert und er hebt sich deutlich von klassischen Rums ab. Schon beim ersten Eindruck merkt man, dass es sich hier um einen sehr charakterstarken Spiced Rum handelt. Der Geschmack ist intensiv und markant. Dominant sind würzige Noten wie Nelke, Zimt und Vanille, begleitet von einer deutlichen, dunklen Süße. Dazu kommt ein leicht rauchiger Unterton, der dem Rum Tiefe verleiht. Insgesamt wirkt er kräftig, aber dennoch ausgewogen und nicht unangenehm scharf. Pur ist der Kraken eher etwas für Liebhaber kräftiger Spiced Rums, da die Würze sehr präsent ist. Auf Eis wird er deutlich runder und angenehmer. Zum Mixen eignet er sich hervorragend, besonders in Kombination mit Cola oder Ginger Beer, wo sein würziger Charakter klar zur Geltung kommt. Die Qualität überzeugt durch einen gleichbleibend intensiven Geschmack und eine saubere Verarbeitung. Der Rum wirkt nicht künstlich, sondern bewusst stark gewürzt. Auch die ikonische Flasche mit den zwei Henkeln ist ein echter Blickfang und passt gut zum mystischen Gesamtbild der Marke. Für mich ist der Kraken besonders passend für Herbst- und Winterabende, wenn man etwas Kräftiges und Wärmendes sucht. In Cocktails funktioniert er aber auch im Sommer sehr gut. Mein Fazit Der Kraken Black Spiced Rum ist kein dezenter Rum, sondern ein ausdrucksstarker Spiced Rum mit hohem Wiedererkennungswert. Wer würzige, intensive Aromen mag und einen Rum sucht, der sich klar durchsetzt, wird hier definitiv fündig.
