Walkman Review
A gift for my Hubby, and he is delighted with it. He says it is "Neat, compact, lightweight, and ideal for listening to music or spoken word absolutely anywhere."An excellent product at a very good price.

Walkman bargain
This Walkman cannot claim to be ultra hi-fi since it does not have provision for switching between tape tapes, or for switching on Dolby. Given that, it does a remarkably good job, with a clear sound and stable pitch. Care needs to be taken when opening the battery compartment not to damage the cover. At the price it may be regarded as a bargain.

Cheap and Cheerful
This is not exactly the Rolls-Royce of cassette players, but it doesn't have the same price tag either. This is a simple piece of equipment, with actual moving parts! It plays tapes, has a volume control and clips to your belt so you can listen to Motown while cutting the lawn. The earphones are pretty good too, and I can enjoy my tapes again - even though I have acquired tinnitus since I first heard them, so am probably missing some of the subtleties of the music! It also has a 'Mega-Bass' slider - which does add a little bit of bottom, but not too much.Overall it is just like it used to be - but a heck of a lot cheaper now!Next time you are at a car boot sale and see a box of tapes going for a fiver - grab them and then order one of these!

Sony WMEX194S Tape Walkman
Glad to find this as I have a great number of well-loved tapes. Sorry its being discontinued but this should last a good few years.

Cassett recorder from Sony
I have a lot of audio books on tape that I wish to play in the car. Even recording all the tapes and converting them to CD would take an age so this 'item from the past' fits the bill. It is a bit flimsy and not as well built as the original classic Walkman but it works fine and relatively speaking this is far,far cheaper. The specifications regarding length of time the batteries last are remarkable.I have not used it for long periods and only time will tell whether the specs are reliable. It will also depend, I suspect, on the type of batteries used.

Sony WMEX 194 Silver Tape Walkman
The Walkman was not complete, it did not have any headphones, I purchased a new set, but the volume from the Walkman is very poor. I am going to try a more expensive set, but if they do not work, I will return the Walkman for a full refund

Does exactly what it says on the tin! A reliable manufacturer. Good sound, light-weight, neat and compact. Would recommend to anyone looking for a portable cassette player.

reliability.
I had a Sony walkman for about 20 years until if finally gave up. Was a bit appalled at theprice of a new one but having tried many cheaper versions I decided to get a second hand one, still expensive I have only had it a month but s far all is well.
