Cambro (SFC2452) Lid for 2 & 4 qt Camsquares

I use the containers and lids for dry goods pantry storage as well as brining/marinading. I have a 4 QT container for Sugar, a 6 QT for Flour, and an 18 QT for large scale marinades. I have lids for all of them. The 4 QT fits your standard bag of sugar plus a few cups more. That way, when I am low on sugar, I can buy and empty a full bag of sugar into the container, and I am not left with the awkward partial bag of sugar to store. The same goes for the 6 QT and a standard 5 lb bag of flour.The containers and lids do a great job of keeping things fresh and are dishwasher safe. I would not go so far as to trust their seals to be liquid tight. I have never had one leak on me, but I have also not had the occasion to properly "field test." Lets just say I would not lay a container on its side with marinade in it and expect a dry counter.I read in one review that Alton Brown loves these containers. I love finding out that I am inadvertently following the ways of Alton!! I purchased merely because they are durable, clear, cheap, easy to measure over (cuts down on baking messes), stackable and dishwasher safe. I also love the industrial look they give my pantry. I anticipate that I will be back for more for whole wheat flour, rice, and other dry goods.Thanks for taking the time to read my review, and I hope you found it helpful in making a purchase decision.

It is as pictured, same colour and size. I accidentally ordered this in the larger size initially and had to return it, but this fits my 4qt square cambro perfectly.I had initially planned to use the box for sourdough during the bulk rise but I now use it to store my flour. It seals well, is easy to take off too. Haven’t tried cleaning it but I imagine I’d need to get into the grooves to clean it properly.

Very durable and light weight. works great for storage and seals tight. Definitely would buy again.

It fits and works as a lid. What more is there to say

used twice - thought maybe it was a fluke but tiny green specs kept getting into my dough as it was bulk fermenting. Used twice and had to pick out green plastic each time, immediately threw out. Do not order, you do not want to consume plastic.

The media could not be loaded. Fits perfect on 4 Qt Cambro container - I use it for proofing my sourdough- can also use for soups - food prep etc.
