These are perfect for standard top-post car batteries. But the clamp I needed it for is a strange, thin-walled clamp that wouldn't open far enough for the shim. Yet fully tightened it was moveable by hand. Standard clamps would be no issue. These are nicely made and will be a great solution for regular-sized clamps. I am keeping these - confident in their value and should myself or a friend need one.

Despite the listing saying that the shims would fit a battery for my car, these shims were WAY too small for my battery posts. I tried prying them open more to get them around the posts and I was able to get them on the battery but, the shims are also WAY too thick for my terminals to fit around them. Total waste of money, even if it was only $5.

The media could not be loaded. As expected these spacers are not designed for regular battery posts. These are designed to make “jis” posts otherwise known at small battery posts or pencil posts size up to “sae” or normal battery posts. JIS battery posts are often seen on Toyota Prius batteries (size S46B24R). These looks to be perfect and just ordered two more sets.People down rating these simply don’t seem to know what they are for, if you have a worn SAE battery you need a battery post shim that often looks like a thimble with split sides and is much thinner.

These worked out great 👍 the ease of installation was also very easy

Product is too thick and there is no way to make it fit on a standard car battery when using the OEM battery cables. These are very soft metal and can be reshaped to fit if you want to spend a few hours with a hammer to make them thinner. So, they could be made to work, but would not recommend them.

These are for tiny posts, like lawn mower batteries. They only go half way around a car or truck battery post.

To small for a regular auto battery

The lead is very thick and would not fit between the connector and the terminal. The lead piece was too short to fit all of the way around' I had to work the lead strip to make it thinner and longer. It was difficult.
