I use this pretty frequently and have a few complaints. This may sound crazy, but the thing is just too bright. In the visible light mode, the strobe blinds the people around me to the point I had to put 3 layers of masking tape over the lights just so everyone can see what's going on around me. Under NODs the IR setting is a good level of brightness, or so I'm told. This thing eats through batteries, and be sure to take the battery out when not in use because it will DRAIN that baby so fast. At first I thought I had left the IR setting on, but I did an experiment after replacing and verified the IR setting wasn't on and it drained the battery in less than 24 hours. Could have a lemon but another guy who has one in my group experienced similar results. The nice part is that this takes CR123A batteries, the same as my Night Vision unit, so I always have batteries on hand for this hungry beast. The battery door is a flat head screw and you should always have a Leatherman on you anyways, so taking the battery in and out isn't too terrible. It has just become part of my final equipment deactivation when I remove the battery from my NODs. Its cheap, but... it's cheap

It's super bright with both the normal light and strobe as well as the infrared light and strobe. It's not super hard to install the battery and mount it to a helmet.

It all works as advertised and not a bad price. I had hoped that the IR light would reflect more light from an inside ceiling to nearby room areas. Otherwise I'm very satisfied.

So before anything, I know its my fault for buying a cheap product. I bought this with the soul intention to buy a cheaper strobe light for my helmet. But the strobe literally only flashes blue. There is no switch to change the colors or even swap it to IR. Its false advertisement and I wouldn't ever buy again.
