Stylish and well made
It does come across as slightly larger in the pictures than in real life but that said it’s a nicely put together stylish item that looks very good in our new bathroom. The initial setting is great for us, giving just the right amount of soap to wash your hands, the buttons work well and you can increase the dispensed amount very easily. The soap doesn’t drip after dispensing and the nozzle cuts off the flow very well. I accidentally put the batteries in the wrong way round and the filled it with soap, it’s very hard to change the batteries with it full of soap! Also it would be nice to have an off switch as you have to be very careful when moving the unit, which can cause it to dispense accidentally! All that being said I like the unit and family have said how much they love it too!

Every Home Should Have One
It's well packaged. Arrives pretty quickly. Great delivery. It comes with a complimentary packet of hand soap. It's well made. Strong and sturdy. The opening at the top for pouring in the soap is wide and easy to access, therefore making it very easy to refill the soap dispenser. The sensor is sensitive so as soon as it detects your hand soap is dispensed. The amount of soap to be dispensed can be set by pressing the plus or minus button on the top. Good performance, long battery life, splashes from hand washing doesn't affect its performance. I have never regretted buying these and never will, great product, well made and worth every penny. A definite recommendation.

The best item I’ve bought in a while and so glad I did
Compact auto hand dispenser that not only looks good quality it also feels it. Very well made and works perfectly. Much nicer than having gunky hand soap bottles or drippy hand pumps! I love this dispenser, it’s neat, clean and hygienic. Husband even likes it and it’s rare he comments on nifty gadgets I buy! Ok so it may be a bit pricey but I reckon this’ll last years so if you can I’d say invest in it. I highly recommend it.

Nice dispenser, shame about the soap!
I really like this soap dispenser - mainly because it looks good and you don't have to touch it. It's very easy to operate - just hold your hand underneath the spout and out comes the soap. The amount of soap dispensed can be easily controlled by pressing a + or - symbol on the dispenser. The dispenser looks stylish in the kitchen or bathroom and I just like the no-touch operation. It's also good for kids - better than them pressing down a dispenser on a liquid soap bottle. It's easy to re-fill and a red warning light on the unit indicates when the batteries need to be replaced. I have bought several of these soap dispensers in the past. I find they last about a year or so, with regular use. For me, the main problem is that the manufacturer clearly states that they are designed to be used with simple human soap. They supply a sample of this with the dispenser. The soap has a lovely lavender smell and does the job; however it is REALLY EXPENSIVE! So I fill my dispenser up with my favourite liquid soap, which happens to be Baylis and Harding's Jasmine and Apple Blosson Antibacterial handwash - I mention this because it's white and looks good in the dispenser! And you can buy it for £1.50 a bottle on Amazon if you search around. - However, it is much thicker than the simple human soap and I'm sure this affects the use of the dispenser over time. But, if you work out the maths, I think it's probably cheaper to buy the cheap soap and replace the dispenser, rather than buying the super-expensive soap all of the time (although for all I know, the dispenser might not last with the expensive soap either!). Another slight drawback is that sometimes when cleaning or moving the dispenser, the sensor gets activated and a load of soap shoots out. It's easy enough to clean up, but it does sometimes catch me by surprise! However, all that being said, I like this dispenser. I've bought it in the past and I would certainly buy it again.

Had for over 2 years and still going strong.
Have used these solidly for over 2 years and they are still going strong. Originally purchased for the kitchen to replace a Dettol no touch soap dispenser that quickly bit the dust, was so happy that I got a second dispenser for the bathroom. These soap dispensers allow you to refill with a soap of your choice which is what gives it an advantage over other dispensers as most force you to refill using a specific branded soap which is generally more expensive. The soap well is quite large; the time it lasts depends on how often you wash your hands. The dispenser also has an adjustable volume feature - this helps to control the amount of soap you use (this helps to avoid using more soap than necessary and helps to save on the cost of soap). There are a few annoyances however, the dispenser requires 4xAA batteries and while the longevity of these depends on the amount of use the dispenser gets it can be an annoyance when you have several dispensers in the house that need new batteries at the same time. A second annoyance is that you have to remove the batteries to turn off the dispenser, there is no off switch - I have found this particularly annoying when moving the dispenser to clean and cleaning the dispenser itself, I usually end up activating the sensor. I would definitely recommend this dispenser to anyone it's a brilliant little machine that helps to save money on soap, encourages kids to wash their hands and it generally more hygienic.

Works great. No spills
Works great. No spills, been using it regularly for 2 months and batteries are still good. Some people may be concerned about using different soap in these machines - it shouldn't be an issue. I'm using Palmolive soap which is significantly thicker than the simplehuman sample soap that came in the box. Works great and the machine pumps the thicker soap with no problem at all. You do have to put your hand fairly close to the sensor to make it work +/- 3cm. I'd say that's a good thing. You won't be accidentally triggering the sensor The ability to switch it off and to adjust the amount of soap dispensed are great features. I feel like i'm using less soap thanks to that machine, since I can adjust it to dispense exactly the amount needed. It's a great, reliable, good looking gadget. Definitely worth buying

An excellent product
I first bought it's larger brother simplehuman ST1015 Sensor Soap Pump with Free Liquid Soap Sample, Brushed Nickel Finish - however, that one proved to be too large for my sink/tap combo, so I moved it to the kitchen. And then by accident I noticed this smaller version - for some reason, it's still not available on Simplehuman UK website. Both models are excellent though - gorgeous looks, quite and efficient operation. No leaks or 'false' discharges. Both models allow you to choose the desired amount of soap to e be dispensed and to turn them off. Overall - excellent product, very impressed. UPDATE 06/12/2013 - 6 months into using 2 of these (and even longer - their 'larger' version): - No dripping, no mess around - Soap lasts longer - Quiet operation - Easy to turn off by holding down the (-) sign - The amount dispensed can be easily adjusted by pressing the (+)(-) signs - Relatively small foot print - Motivates our son to wash his hands better Just one 'con' - our son (getting 5 in a few months) would sometimes keep 'playing' with the thing if left unattended, so watch out for those little hands!

I honestly do not recommend buying this product
I honestly do not recommend buying this product. I bought two dispensers which were used in different households. The first one developed a fault after approx. 6 months of using - the battery constantly needed replacing. When we replaced the battery, the dispenser would spit out the soap in massive quantities - this could only be controlled by removing the batteries. The second dispenser worked for another few months and then the same problem appeared. I would say within one month we replaced the batteries three times. On reflection, this was a sign that it was not going to work again, however we were hoping for the best. This dispenser also started spitting all the soap out. The seller - Ideabright Ltd was very unhelpful when I reported both devices were faulty. Due to the fact that dispensers seem to develop a fault, but then would work for a while, we waited with the complaint as you never know whether it was just a 'bad moment' and the devices will eventually start working. Now I know this was a mistake and we should not have waited. So now both devices do not work and I wasted £66. Very bad customer service, the seller simply did not care at all as we reported the fault late. I do not recommend this device and I will not be buying from Ideabright Ltd either.

Ottimo prodotto

Best soap dispenser around premium quality. They work great battery last up to a year truly.
These are the best dispensers I’ve ever seen or had. I wanted an automatic soap dispenser and I got one that was nice and it took batteries. It worked decent problem was it needed new batteries ever two weeks witch is ridiculous. So I did research watch a ton of videos remand came across this. It’s so expensive I was hesitant but it said and reviews said the battery life was up to a year so I broke down and got in on a sale and it was the best purchase I’ve ever made. I own both the battery and reachable versions and they are both premium quality the battery last almost if not a year I don’t know exactly because I’ve only had to replace or charge them like three times in the few years I’ve had them. I don’t know how they do it especially the one with the regular batteries. They last forever and work so well. I love the newer rechargeable versions more because it’s smaller profile and no batteries. It never gets clogged and sprays out the side and it gives a nice amount of soap I like the one that I can control but my husband likes the one that if you put your hand lower you get a lot and higher for less. The motion detection is great but as with most you have to find it’s sweet spot but the newer rechargeable is not finicky and works as soon as you put your hand under it. The battery one has to be a bit closer. They also look nice with the color options and stainless steel. One note I wanted to add because I see people saying it won’t charge or the older one won’t work. With the plug in I found it won’t charge if it’s not with the correct plug and I only can charge it directly in my usb wall socket so this may be why some don’t charge. As for the battery model. I had mine stop working I’ve also had it pump soap out until it was empty and I figured out why at least for me. I had washed the outside down as I’m sure many do and that little hole in the top I don’t know if it’s an air holier if it’s for sensors or whatever. But I used a very wet rag because I was essentially washing it and water got in the whole and the sensor is right below that hole so I figured that is why it stopped working because water is on the sensor or something like that. Once it started to dry the next day it started working but then I came back and it was going off and off until it was empty still must have had water in the sensor area so it was reading like it was seeing something. So the point is wipe the top with a wet rag but a rung out dryer rags not dripping wet so that you don’t get water in the home. Eventually it dried out and all went back to working great and is still working to this day. These are the best soap dispensers.
