Stable, secure, easy to use
Dont have a lot more to say, this bike carrier performed exceptionally well for all the activities asked of it. It carried 3 bikes up and back on a 5 hour weekend trip. We have taken it camping and visiting family. Really happy with how easy it is to use to fit multiple bikes on the rack and how quickly you can pack it up and go. The locking mechanism is very clever and secure. And the tilting mechanism makes it easy to still access the lift gate while all of the bikes are still mounted to the rack. Will be recommending this product to any family and friends interested in moving their bikes around.

solid as a rock and easy to use
I have now had the bike rack for 2 + years. Solid as a rock. Easy to install and take off. Once you tighten it up there is no wobble of the rack. I use bungee cords to keep the wheels from turning. I use the supplied strap to secure the bikes to each other and the rack to minimize their movementMultiple trips back and forth from New England to Florida and shorter trips all around Cape Cod. the rack looks and works as if it were new

Very stable and clever design
I was impressed with the locking features which work very well. The locking feature also takes up the looseness between the rack and the hitch. The ability to lower the support arms and incline the vertical post to open the hatch, without tools, is a very useful design. It does weigh a bit but this provides a stable arrangement. Very happy.

Three bikes, tops
This rack is a great value, with a lot of good features. The locking mechanism in the hitch is very secure, allowing you to really lock the rack into the hitch so it doesn't rattle and vibrate. It is nice that you can access the lock from the rear, instead of needing a lock for the pin that some bike rack setups or even trailer setups require. The mechanism for lowering the hitch for access to the back of our Grand Cherokee is also nice, very solid and I have no doubt this will hold up with regular use.Unfortunately, this is not a rack that will accommodate four full-size mountain bikes. We can fit two 26" and one 24" bike, or my 29" and my son's 26" bikes due to the width of the handlebars. You might be able to cram four bikes on here if you removed the front wheels so you could turn the handlebars parallel with the frame, but I am not really even sure about that. My younger son's 24" bike BARELY fits on here, and even the 26" bikes are a little tight with the spacing of the two horizontal bars that the bikes sit on. We have to turn the plastic pieces that the frame sits on, so it takes a little patience and problem solving to get the bikes loaded.Having said this, we are overall happy with this purchase. We also bought a bracket that allows us to mount this on the back of our travel trailer, which will alleviate the frustration of trying to get bikes into the trailer's narrow door. The rack is well made and I anticipate having it for a long time.

Excellent Bike Rack with Top-Notch Customer Support
I am extremely pleased with this bike rack - and not just the bike rack, also the company.First of all, the bike rack is well built and reasonably priced. It did a very good job carrying 4 family bikes, two adult bikes and two children bikes. This is actually more difficult that loading 4 adult bikes because of their size differences. Also, when properly mounted to your hitch, it does not rattle at all. Those who complained about rattling obviously did not properly tighten the locking mechanism as instructed. When you do, the rack pulls a wedge against the main shaft which prevents rattling. I had no rattling during an 800 mile trip. The built-in spring-loaded hitch pin means there is no hitch pin to lose, another plus. The ability to fold the rack down without removing the bikes allows you to open the back of your vehicle. But you'll need a second person to help you. You need to lift the rack forward a bit at the same time you pull the latch up. My arms (I'm 6'3") were not long enough. As for the company, the day after I received the bike rack and less than a week before leaving on vacation I lost the keys that allow you to lock the rack into your hitch. I called their USA-based customer support department in Ohio and asked them for the cost to rush ship a new set of keys to me. They sent me a new set by first class mail the next day at no charge. Try that with one of the foreign knock-offs!

Easy to Put Together, Not too heavy
This rack is easy to put together and manage. MY wife can put it on herself. Some racks need the whole family to install. Works Great - Doesn't have a locked installed so you will need to get a locked cable.

Very Happy with this Bike Rack!
I really like this 4-bike rack. This one has the easy tilt down knob and easy drop down bar. Both are well worth spending a little extra if you're going to use this rack very often. It's sturdy and hefty, weighing in at 25.5 pounds. The hitch tightening system works great and the lock is essential to keep the rack from getting stolen. I had to call the Allen support line because I couldn't get the key to turn. It turns out that the key will not turn when the knob is in certain positions. So it just had to be rotated relative to the shaft, which I held with pliers. Likely not an issue once rack in installed.Assembly is easy but does require two wrenches, as others have noted because you need to get the longer bottom bolt tight. You want to tighten this bolt enough that there is no movement between the two parts, yet not so tight that it won't drop down easily. The individual bike mounting brackets rotate to accommodate various frame shapes and angles, so I can get my mountain bike on. While the rubber straps are secure, I add bungees as backup in case one breaks. The bikes are very secure side-to-side, but will still rock forward and backward on the rack, so this requires a little extra work to secure them so they don't bang each other up. Might cut up a pool noodle to strap on between bikes. It sill seems like one of the best systems available. I have carried three bikes easily, and four will fit with some planning.Note that the bar does slant upward away from the car, which is good because otherwise the last bike can end up hitting the road on steep driveways and ramps.
