I have four cats. Two of them use these scratchers every day. The other two still prefer the arm of the couch but do use a scratcher on and off. The scratchers are in three different rooms. My cats range in size from 12 to 18 pounds. Smaller and larger cats like these scratchers. I vacuum shreds of cardboard often using an inexpensive lightweight cordless vac for convenience. Using both sides of the scratcher till it is torn to shreds three scratcher lasted me about 1 year. Having said that I have to also say I have a house full of scratchers. To protect my overstuffed furniture as much as possible I have slip covers on everything and many many cat scratchers in all shapes and sizes all over the house. They use them all. These are cost effective

At first my nine year old Maine Coon decided she wanted nothing to do with these "new fangled" scratchers that were so pretty that I thought we'd give them a try. I moved them around and talked them up but she just looked at me funny and continued to use her old ones. Finally, after about a month or two (or three) I hear the familiar scratching sound coming from that area, look up, and there she is, happily scratching away on one of the pretty new scratchers! She loves it! And she continues to use it daily. So all is well with these new ones and they are MUCH better looking lying around the house. These are now my new "GO-TO" scratchers!

Great for the price! Much better than the others I have bought. Love that it doesn’t have a frame around it which takes away from the amount of scratch area. Reversible too. Will continue to buy this item. See picture for comparison to one that comes in a framed box. Cats approved.

The most important thing is that my cat loves this. This is a nice wide scratching pad, with no box surrounding it, so I put all 3 together & she loves to sprawl across them and fall asleep when she's done with the scratching! I can't get her off them. They are also a very pretty baby blue color & sleek looking. I definitely will buy many more of these!

I am to order my second set of 3. We put them all over the house, in addition to a scratch pole. We adopted 2 six month old boys, now 1 yrs old, and they absolutely love these. They often just sit on them to hang out. It took them about 7 months to shred one of the boards in the main living room to bits. The other 2 still have life in them because you can just turn them over when one side is done. The 3 pack is a great way to give your cat scratch options around the house. The scratchers are small enough that they don't look ugly or too obvious in the space. Our cats love them and don't scratch elsewhere ("as far as we know!" ...you know how sneaky cats are ;-) Great quality product and great design.

My cat loves this scratcher. He pounced on it before we could barely get the wrapper off. He is very pleased and approves of this scratcher. He also loved the catnip it came with and attacked it straight away and had a wonderful time. We highly recommend this item. So far my cats looove these. We have had other cardboard scratchers in the past and the cats tore them up really quickly. These are holding up really well, after 2 days of scratching I can see where they scratched, but nothing on my floor except catnip. Best of all they stopped clawing and snagging my brand new dining chairs and couch. I would give these 10 stars if I could.

Very large and sturdy. My cat sits on it and surveys his kingdom and dares the dog to come near. Seems more rugged than most cardboard scratchers I've purchased.As for my couch ... kitty doesn't drag his nails on it to spite me anymore!
