Key will not work in gas cap. I can’t get the cap unlocked . Gas cap can not be removed . Do not buy this gas cap !!!!

I'm glad someone finally made a locking gas cap for my 23 Taco. When I bought my truck in 23 nobody had one on the market and I do not know why. Nevertheless, the main thing one must consider when using these types of non-OEM gas caps is the check engine light connection. If your gas cap doesn't make the right number of clicks and make the right seal your check engine light will come on and that's all I know about it. Apparently, you can't just screw on any 'ol gas cap. So far this one is working for me.

Needed a locking gas cap on our vehicle (due to the car style not offering a locking fuel door option?) - The cap fits just fine. The locking option is the plus here even if it's a slight pain, it just makes sense to have if you think you need it. The cap seems to seal well at the fuel neck as our vehicle diagnostic check engine light has not come on or had an issue. We won't use this cap all of the time but wanted to have an extra cap with added security for when the time called for it... with the price of petrol always tenuously going up, there might be the future need for a good product like this. And so, it is. Recommended? - Yes. Protect yourself if you have to. Nice dependable cap.
