Its a lunk hammer and the handle is grippy.. it does the job well , its durable .

Really nicely made single jack hammer! I had a hard time finding one with a shorter handle, I seriously doubt most people could muster the strength needed to swing a longer handled single jack sludge hammer with one hand (carpenters excluded!), without seriously damaging themselves or the item they are working on!. This one is controllable and the handle helps with the vibrational shock! The price should be more than enough of an incentive if looking for a small "persuader"!

Seems like a solid little hammer. It was nice for the first use until I let my apprentice use it. I wish the handle was a bit longer but it does the job.
