This was SO fun for my son to build! Seriously, who needs Lego when you have Mould King. Excellent quality and the instructions were easy to follow.

Fun build. Ended up missing a minor piece, but that may have been my kids helping me. The package and listing state it has a lithium battery pack. It doesn’t. You’ll need 6 AAA batteries to go in the battery pack. Thought it was broken until I opened it up to try to fix it.

I was impressed by the detail and quality of the parts and the assembly instructions. I would not say it was super easy to assemble and I had to take my time but was fun to build. If any 8 year old can build this kit by themselves, they need to be working at NASA today. If your vison is less than perfect like mine do yourself a favor and download the PDF so you can zoom in on the steps on your laptop. Can be hard to see in the manual. The PDF also has a link to download the mobile app for the model. I did some early testing with the electric motor to make sure the crankshafts were all working correctly. It was fun to watch the crankshafts turn and the pistons go up and down. It was a bit of a shame the crankshaft and cams were mostly covered by other parts and as another reviewer mentioned the cylinder heads are opaque instead of clear. Would have been nice to be able to see the pistons going up and down and other internals more clearly. I consider the purchase well worth the money.

I bought this for my father who is a motor head, he said the instructions are not very clear and there are a million tiny parts...he is still working on it.

Surprised by the detail and complexity of these kids! I have put two of them together and was challenged by the builds. The number of parts is a little overwhelming at first but most of the parts are used in order if the labels on the packets but not all! One if the models had two complete sets of numbered packets of parts, so it was a little confusing but the instructions are very clear and I think anyone can follow them if you have the patience to follow them. Each step is short and easy to complete. I can't wait for my grandsons to get old enough to build these! The details and custom pieces are far better (and cheaper) than the original brand of bricks. Every time I check, Mould King had released another model with even more detail! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone!

Great gift, my 15 year old loves these engines.

This kit will take someone who is detail-oriented 6-8 hours to complete. The model has perfect symmetry as built and the parts fit very well and are molded nicely. It would be a good idea to have simple hand tools available to assist alignment and assembly of some parts, or for disassembly if you make a mistake. The valve covers are opaque, not clear like the pictures show. You can still see the piston motion, however, so not a big deal. Wear finger cots for a better result. I have built several models of different types over the years and the quality of this kit is light-years ahead. It is well-worth the money considering the challenge presented and amount of time it took to assemble.

bought as a birthday gift. end results is the ehxaust was a prop and the turbos are prop and dont do the stoooo stooo stoooooooo but kept em busy and learning!.

I bought this because I enjoy building sets with a bit more of a challenge, and this Mould King engine did not disappoint. This isn’t just a pile of blocks that looks good from a distance—it actually feels like you’re building a miniature piece of mechanical engineering. The W16-style design is impressive, and watching the moving parts come together as the build progresses is very satisfying. The attention to detail makes it a great display piece once finished, but the best part is the building experience itself. The pieces fit together well, and the instructions were easy enough to follow. It does require patience, especially during the more detailed sections, but that’s part of the fun. It’s the kind of build where you look at the finished engine and think, “I actually made that?” The quality surprised me, and it makes a great alternative to traditional building sets. It’s perfect for anyone interested in cars, engines, engineering, or just enjoys having something unique on display. Overall, this is a fantastic build. My only complaint is that my new engine doesn’t actually power my car—although my wallet is probably happier that I built this one instead. Five stars!

This was a very nice build. It is challenging, but that's what I was looking for. The instructions are clear and parts fit together properly. It was fun to see the engine come together. Probably one the most enjoyable builds I've done yet. Would defiantly recommend.
