Well designed shelter
The shelter is well designed with many thoughtful features. The quality of the shelter material is very good. The awning on the front entrance and the back escape entrance are very clever. The front entrance has a clear plastic flap for the cat to push through and provides a small barrier to cold outside air. I couldn't see the clear flap from the photos on Amazon. I appreciate the easy opening lid that gives you access to the interior. I introduced the cat to the shelter slowly. I placed her inside once with the heated mat and closed the lid whereupon she groomed herself and she walked out the entrance. The next time I put her food bowl in the shelter and left the lid open. The third time she ate from a food bowl next to the shelter on a cold morning and she strutted into the shelter after eating. Introduction successful!I found the velcro attached to the top inside of the shelter a little short. I couldn't wrap it around the top of the internal frame to secure it. At least I think you are supposed to do that. I will pick up additional velcro from a store and create an extension.

Easy to put together. Sturdy. Perfect size.
Easy to put together. Weatherproof, size is perfect for one or two cats comfortably. Should have an automatic timer that shuts off after 2 hours to avoid hurting cat. Instructions say notcto put anything covering the heating pad, but would like to be able to have something covering that.

Gloved Patience
Alright it is sturdy and effectively keeps our sweet outdoor cat warm, so I’d give it four stars for that. However, one downside is that the inner frame is made of fiberglass. If you overlook this detail, which is mentioned only once, you might quickly find yourself dealing with fiberglass shards in your hands. My recommendation is to wear gloves during assembly. Additionally, I encountered a challenge with the frame barely fitting inside the insulated sleeve. I struggled for over 15 minutes trying to make it fit as shown, and I almost gave up. However, once I finally managed to get it in, it looked great and matched the pictures perfectly. The takeaway? Remember to wear gloves and exercise patience.

It’s a great cat bed
I loved how well constructed it was, it was too small for my colony they are mother and daughters and like to sleep together it was just a bit small for all 4 of them

Perfect!
Attractive, easy to assemble, well insulated. I love the fact that it is elevated from the ground. Outdoor barn cat who does not always hang in the barn loves this cat house as an option. It is on our porch and he lays on top of it to sun bathe or goes in at night on the heating pad. Great purchase, may buy more for feral cats that hang around the property

Instructions are lacking. The house is wet inside this morning
Very overpriced. The instructions are terrible. You are supposed to fit the frame inside the house and then velcro the frame to the house. No matter how hard I try I can't get the frame and velcro to line up. This morning the house was wet inside and so was my cat.

Not all cats will use this.
**This item will leave fiberglass splinters in your hand if you do not wear gloves during assembly! The bag is full of fiberglass dust. Be creful to not inhale it!**After receiving the item and getting fiberglass splinters putting it together, I put it outside for a few nights hoping to give one of the many critters a warm place to stay. The cats and raccoons aren't interested (even in the cold nights, regardless of using the heater or not). Maybe it's the smell inside. It is well insulated, but smells strongly of synthetic materials.Sure, this little box is everything as advertised, but what is the point of creaturea don't want to use it? I might move it deep into the woods and just leave it and check back next summer to see if there is even any evidence of something getting in.Update: There are 2 cats around my house and after several weeks, it looks like nothing has entered. Not even bugs seem to want to go in this thing. Its an expensive waste of space in my back yard.
