Love it as a nursing student!
I am a new nursing student and I wanted to get a hole punch that would last the entire course and beyond. after researching I found this piece of office supplies magic! It handles my 44-page power points for human anatomy with ease and I was able to hole punch my entire week's worth of assignments in minutes! it is heavier than I thought it would be and bigger than I thought it would be as well. it's super easy to use and the locking mechanism it has is such a space saver. I don't need a lot of pressure for the big amount of paperwork to have to hole punch through the 40-page power points and with the single to under 10-page worksheets it cuts through that like butter with little resistance. I am so glad I found this and will recommend it to all nursing students!

Simple hole-puncher, easy to punch through large stacks
I got this hole-puncher because I needed to punch through about 30-40 pages at a time (printed exams). This thing sliced through the stack relatively easily. It wasn't perfect, so sometimes I had to press down two or three times to fully go through with a clean cut. But I just got in the habit of pressing down a few times before pulling out the paper stack. The little tray to collect the punched holes is a nice touch, but it's a bit loose and can slide out unintentionally, scattering the paper holes everywhere. Solid metal construction. Low-force lever. It's a simple product that works well. I would definitely buy again. The design looks sleek too...black and grey. It looks like a professional tool, so it doesn't look out of place on any office desk. I set mine on a nearby station that contains all my printing supplies. This puncher gets used often, and it has never failed to perform.

Reliable
I ordered this SWINGLINE 3 Hole Punch to help me get all my manuals into a binder, so they were easy to access. This hole punch has helped me immensely. I am able to use it with ease! I have a pretty severe nerve condition in my hands that makes simple tasks impossible for me due to no strength or dexterity. However, I was able to complete this organizing task with no problem or hand fatigue due to the ease of use with this handle. It takes very little pressure to operate the handle, which means I could use it. SWINGLINE has always been a reliable product for me!

You don't "punch" of the holes, the machine does it.
Almost effortless "punching" and the holes have been perfect. I have not tried 45 pages yet. No adjustments for paper size, but that is fine for me. It's an excellent specialized three hole "punch" [I use the term loosely! for 8.5" x 11" paper. You do not give a quick hard press/"punch" to get the job done. You simply insert the paper and gently lower the tool's lever down toward the paper so the three cutting/"punching" rods (not visible while doing the job) just touch the paper. Is the upper left corner of your stack of paper correctly in the tray's corner and the back long side edges of your stack firmly against the back edge of the tray? Good. Now deliberately press down on on the lever gently but firmly and let the loaded springs do the work. Excellent
