Better than expected, rock solid.
I ordered these to anchor down our deer stand when I could not get the auger anchor into the hard ground where it's located. I used a metal stake about the same size as the driving rod to make a "pilot" hole in the dirt and make sure I didn't hit any large rocks. The cables drove in with relative ease with an 8lb sledge. About every half dozen hits I would turn the driving rod and lift it slightly to make sure it would come out. When the cables were at depth, the rod was "stuck" and I did have to work it back and forth a bit to get it out. Once the rod was out, a slight pull of the cable and they were rock solid. I didn't expect them to work as well as they did.

Worst Anchor EVER!!!
Bought these to tie down kids swing set. Directions are fairly simple to understand. Put rod in anchor and drive into ground. Problem is the rod would not come back out of the first anchor. Just as directions say, drive in approximately 20” and pull rod back out. After about 20 minutes I Finally managed to work the rod back out of the anchor. It was a pain in the backside. My thoughts were I must have drove it in too far. Nope!! On the second anchor I drove it in exactly 20”. Tried pulling the rod out and it would not come back up. I wiggled the rod and turned it at the same time and finally the rod and anchor all came back up!! Not to be a quitter I tried again. This time tried another anchor in the package. Thinking this was the solution. Wrong Batman! Fooled again. The rod and anchor after being drove down again would not come out of the anchor. I worked tirelessly to get it back up but to no avail. I tied the cable to my swing set and drove the rod all the way into the ground until the cable tightened up on the swing set. I took the other two anchors and the box, carried them to the back of my pasture and buried them. I was afraid if I carried them to the trash and they got to the landfill, some poor fool would see them, pick them up and carry them home! I was afraid they might suffer the same Fate!! Take it from me, BUY SOMETHING ELSE!!!

You want to make something stay there??? Get these
Works very well. Learn from me though. Grind the upper side of the driver's collar. Last one I drove in the driver stayed there for over a year till I dug it out because I couldn't remove it. Even using a 4k# come along. Bevel the upper side of the collar. The anchors, I just buried when we mover the car port. Very good anchor, wasn't thinking of coming out

Great anchors, but fat driving rod
These anchors are great and have super strong hold. I just put in 4 to stake up some 15’ green giants that were leaning after a storm. They’re very similar to the duckbill 68-DB1’s I have used in the past. These are little smaller, but with a thicker and longer cable. Also you have to make your own loops at the end with the included clamps, or do what I did using M5 crimping sleeves. The only problem with this anchor kit is the driving rod. It’s a little too thick and will bind in the anchor. I filed a little off the end and it still got stuck. So I ground the rod down some more and it worked flawlessly. One star off for having to modify the driving rod. I will definitely buy again when needed.

Installation was easy with tips
Bought to secure a 8x10 shed in my area required by my county building codes. I was concerned about some complaints regarding removing the driving rod after hammering it in. With some helpful tips received, REMOVE the plastic protective tips on rod. ( come that way for protection only) Grind down slightly, the top edge of rod going into the anchor hole. I sprayed some lubricant in the hole of the device, just because. No ,problems at all. The rod came out EASILY after some serious pounding. Great anchor and the county building inspector OK'd it and got the seal of approval.

Does the job, but driving rod design is flawed.
As another reviewer stated, once these get in the ground and properly set, they won't go anywhere. They do their job well as anchors, the problem is getting them in the ground. The problem I had is the driving rod provided with the kit should not have rubber caps on both ends. When you put the driving rod in the anchor and drive it to the set depth (length of the rod) and then try to pull it back out, the driving rod is stuck in the anchor. After a few hits from a 5lb sledge, the rubber cap on the end I was hitting mushroomed and I suspect it did the same thing in the anchor and then with the mushroomed rubber inside the anchor it was never going to come back out. I ended up hacksawing off the driving rod just above the anchor and then used the end with just metal to drive in the next three anchors. This worked well and after a few hits with the sledge I would twist the driving rod to make sure it was still loose from the anchor. I live in Oregon and drove these in the ground in late April, so the ground was heavily saturated with water and overall they drove through gravel/soil fairly easily. I'm sure it would be a much bigger challenge to get them in the ground if the soil was dry.Once the anchors are at their set depth, use the clamp to make a loop at the end of the cable and then slide the driving rod through the loop and pull the cable as flat to the ground as possible, pulling away from the feature on the anchor that the cable is looped through. Eventually you won't be able to pull it any further and your anchor is now set. Remove the clamp and then loop around the object you want to secure and reinstall the clamp. My only other grips about this product are that on the end of the cables they used cheap electrical tape to cover up the ends so you don't poke yourself on a frayed wire. The electrical tape falls right off. They should have used a piece of thick heat shrink tubing. In summary, cut off one of the rubber caps on the driving rod and use that as the end you put in the anchor and if possible, wait for wet soil to install.

Modify the rod before you start....
I put these in some terribly rocky / sandy ground with some clay for good measure. I'm using them to anchor a greenhouse. I used a 12lbs sledge hammer as its what i have, and I'm glad I had it for my conditions. First one of 8 ( I bought 2 packs) went good... The second wasn't good at all. I couldn't remove the rod from the ground. I had to eventually use chain and the skid-steer to pull it out. It was set at least 18" deep and when it came out, the anchor came with it, surprisingly. By tapping the anchor back from the rod, i was able to free it. I had a closer look and the problem is how the rod is cut. The rod isn't round as its sheared off at the factory. This makes it somewhat oval, and I suspect that the cast anchor has a very slight taper in the pocket for the rod. The force of the 12lb hammer manged to jam the rod in the anchor.Take a grinder with a flap wheel and taper the end of the rod to make it round again and very slightly pointed. After doing this, I had no further problems at all, and a slight pull by hand would leave the anchor in the ground, and the rod came right out.

Finger weg.

Terrible Quality
Like other reviewers mentioned, the driving rod gets stuck and is next to impossible to remove. Even after trying the tips suggested by others.Installed the first one but took over 20 minutes to remove the rod. Installed the second one, but as you can see from the photos, the tip broke off in the ground and the casing cracked from the continuous hits on the driving rod. Also, it came right out of the ground after all that. Didn’t bother to try the third or fourth one. Do not buy this product. Wish I could return it or get my money back, but I have one stuck in the ground and the other is broken. Do not recommend.
