I am just shy of 1 year from my purchase and feel like I can now provide an accurate and real rating for the Samsung Galaxy ring. It all started out great and when I started wearing the ring it provided exactly what I was looking to get. And since I am a Samsung phone user I really liked the idea of the ring and the phone working together The Fit: The fit of the ring has turned out to be very good and comfortable. I hardly know, or feel, that I am wearing it. It accurately counted my steps and movement. I loved that I could wear it all day and all night no matter what activity I was doing (working out, yard work, resting, etc). This is something I never felt I could do with a watch (besides I enjoy wearing mechanical watches). The App: The app is really easy to use and I find it helpful with tips and coaching for exercise and sleep. I does not bother me to go into the app to check status, but I also found the widget to be very useful to display my statistics on my lock screen. I was actually surprised how much information it shares about my sleep. I dont know its accuracy, but generally the sleep number is close to how I feel when I wake up. I feel like I get a lot of information without having to pay for a subscription. The Battery: This has been the disappointment. One of the selling points for me on this ring was the battery life and the need to only charge once per week. Well, that is how it started. I would charge the ring and then as the ring battery got to 10% or less I would get notifications on my phone to know when to charge it. After 4-5 months I noticed the ring would all of a sudden be "disconnected" and the ring battery was dead. I started to monitor it closely. The ring would charge to 100% but when it got to ~20-25% it would be dead. At around 6 months I reached out to Samsung for help but learned it was out of warranty and I had not purchased the extended warranty so no help. I am now approaching 1 year with the ring and I find that I have to charge it daily. Even then, it charges to 100% and as soon as i take it off the charger it drops to ~80%. Within 12 hours its down to ~50%. This is not the experience I was expecting in less than 1 year. Not sure how much longer the ring will last, but my next ring purchase will not be a Samsung.

I have had this ring for less than 1 year and it is broken. I will not hold its charge for more than about 15 hours. In other words, it loses its charge while I am sleeping so I cant check sleep results. this is the function that I need the most and the reason I bought the ring. $400 for a ring that lasts less than a year? And product support is a joke. Update:L Do NOT but this ring. Samsung is the worst. This was under warranty (10 months) and it just stopped working correctly (note: This device’s data was much different than the data I get from my Garmin watch and my Fitbit before…..I question the Ring’ actual accuracy….), failed to hold a charge (from full to empty in about 9 hours….sposed to be 3 days? 5 days? And my experience with Samsung warranty dept was just awful. They finally “denied” my warranty claim stating that I had damaged the charging cradle. This is just a flat out lie to get me to pay them more money to replace the LCD on the ring itself. How could the ring need LCD replaced if they said they issue was damaged charger? And how could I have damaged a charger so much that it caused the LCD on the ring to malfunction. Total BS>. I refused. Will throw the ring away when it comes back. And I am in process of getting rid of my Samsung phone (have been thinking about switching back to apple for a while and this is final straw). I will never order Samsung anything again. This people are awful. DO NOT BUY this product. You are getting ripped off.

I purchased this ring exactly one year ago, and the battery will no longer hold a charge - extremely disappointing considering the cost. I chose the Samsung Smart ring over other options for two reasons - because I have been very happy with Samsung products (until now), and I liked the fact that there isn't a subscription fee. A note on sizing - the ring is 2 sizes smaller than standard sizes. I was extremely happy with the ring's ability to track activity and sleep. I verified the tracking against a Samsung Galaxy watch and a Peleton heart rate monitor, and the readings were spot on. The sleep metrics matched my perception of sleep quality and quantity, and the ring is so much more comfortable to sleep in than a watch. Unfortunately about 11 months after purchasing, I noticed the battery life was shortening. 12 months and 5 days after purchasing, the battery won't hold a charge longer than 2-3 hours. Diagnostics revealed the battery is only holding 17% charge, and troubleshooting (including resetting the ring) did not help. Big disappointment.

I have been utilizing this ring for approximately one month. Prior to acquiring the ring, I relied on my Samsung watch; however, I sought an alternative that would allow me to wear my other timepieces, leading to this purchase. Having used the watch for two years, I possess a comprehensive understanding of my daily activity patterns. I can confirm that the ring effectively captures comparable data to my previous device. My average step count, sleep metrics, energy levels, and stress indicators align closely with those recorded by my watch. The ring's design is sleek and aesthetically pleasing, making it indistinguishable from a conventional piece of jewelry. Indeed, I frequently wear it in lieu of my wedding ring. This product represents an excellent acquisition, offering reliable battery life, rapid charging capabilities, and fulfilling all my requirements. Note, I don't use my ring for fitness, I use my samsung watch exclusively for fitness now. I am highly satisfied with this device.
