Serious gluing power at the flick of a switch
This is my 2nd time purchase of this glue gun. My husband managed to wreck the 1st one, so I had to get a new one. The only glue gun that I would consider buying because it’s simply the best I’ve come across and as a crafter that makes gifts for others the project needs to be solidly put together. Don’t be tempted by less expensive hobby guns, they take an age to heat up and they just aren’t up for serious use. Also, the glue sticks are thicker and longer with this gun. Great for mending things too. Not suitable for children to use.

Really pleased with this
I have just one negative thing to say about this gun. Even on the lower setting, the glue is dangerously hot. I got a bad burn from it when it was on the higher setting. I turned it down from the higher setting after getting burned. I waited about 1 hour before I tried to use it again. It made no difference at all. My finger accidentally brushed some glue and bad burn number 2 followed. The glue sticks that come with it are top quality and an added bonus. Positive things are no dripping and no glue "hairs"!

First class tool.
I purchased this hot glue gun to replace one that I have struggled with for some time. With my old one I had difficulty with the operation in that the advance mechanism was very poor in pushing the glue stick into the gun. I sometimes had to assist the operation by pushing the stick from behind. Another annoyance was the fact that my old gun was just 25 watts power rated. The new TOPELEK gun has a dual rating of 100 watts or 60 watt switchable. By starting off from scratch I use the 100 watts setting and I am up-and-running in about thirty seconds, and the advance mechanism works a treat. The only niggling issue is that this new gun did not come with a stand to hold it when not in use, so I just lay it on its side on a piece of scrap timber. It is still worthy of a five star rating.

New favourite household tool
I’ve fixed about fifteen things in two weeks of owning it. Perfect for odd jobs that superglue is too brittle / thin for. I bought it to help me open, clean and seal my vacuums filter as I don’t like the fact that it is disposable. But I ended up using it for lots more. Only two criticisms:The switch is a little confusing as it looks like an on/off switch but isn’t. It switches between low and high power and you have to switch off at the mains. While it’s on, you need to make sure that there’s something disposable underneath as it drips glue. I imagine this is common to any glue gun though.

Heats up quickly
Grabs glue sticks firmly and feeds them into the gun effectively. My one criticism is that it produces too much glue at times. Not sure what the switch does on the gun - other than turn change the light from red to green. The flow of glue appears to remain the same when pressing the trigger.Good build.

Did not like ths glue gun!
For professionals - I would not recommend, as it could not glue a small spice-rack to wall in kitchen (i tried on marble and on plaster-wall) it just was not powerfull enough. For arts & crafts - I would definitely not recommend this for children, as the entire gun got SO hot! even when I was not using it. Had to turn it off and it was still hot after an hour untouched.

Melts the glue well but the glue is not reliable
The product itself works well, it melts the glue pretty quickly but I am disappointed because the glue does not stick properly. I bought this for my art project. I spent hours trying to glue some wood slices to a plastic mat, but the next day many of them detached from the plastic. Maybe it doesn't work on plastic but I also tried to glue some wires to the wood slices and they also detached. Also, you have to be careful that if you put the gun on the metal support the melted glue will drip out, so the metal support is not functional and not very sturdy.

Perfect for making a Christmas wreath 🎄
All the materials I used - fresh plant stems, dry woody materials (pine cones, lotus pods, cinnamon sticks), plastics (baubles) and fabric (ribbon) - stick well onto a fresh wreath. I wrapped thin plant stems with green tape just in case, so they stick on better.I only used 100W but the gun didn't leak at all. Very easy to use and neat. I only wish it had an on/off switch as well as the 60/100w switch.
