Works great
This is a great product from what I can tell, I mean how can you tell that it does what it says it does? The only way I can tell is that the final product, in my case beer, is not getting ruined from contaminated equipment, I have never had an issue with a batch from using this. I like that is Low Foam, some people say it is no foam, but it will foam a bit if you shake the jug or mix it with he water with a stirrer or similar. No rinse needed after use is great. There is not more to say, a would like to see it a bit cheaper. Definitely a must have in your supply if you are a home-brewer of any kind where your batches is sensitive to bacteria's or contaminants.

New formulation is still the same great acid-based sanitizer
I contacted Five Star Chemicals about the color change of Saniclean. They did indeed change the formulation to a clear liquid (it is no longer blue/brown). I've always been happy with it; I'll be checking on the new formula's performance. Five Star, if you read this, you might want to chime in with some comments on the new formula. A question about the color I asked (in the Q&A section above) was answered by another buyer with the comment, "Saniclean is an iodine-based cleaner". IT IS NOT IODINE-BASED. It is an acid based sanitizer, similar to Star San, but different. IT IS NOT like Iodophor. Don't be confused. Hope this helps.

Same as name brand
I’ve ordered this product a few times. It seems to be just like starsan. Its not purple though. I don’t know why it is purple in the picture

Excellent for the right task!
Excellent for the right task, when you need less foam. It takes a little more time to work than Star San. Works great for assembling fermenter parts wet. It's easier to mix, because of less Foam. Overall, I prefer Star San, just for the quicker disinfection time, so only 4 Stars for Saniclean. I prefer the word disinfected, it means what it says. Sanitized, is pretty much just the removal of gross stuff! You can clean without disinfecting but you can't disinfect without cleaning! Both Saniclean and Star San, will etch stuff both mixed and unmixed especially! Be careful of your spills and overspray!

A good sanitizer.
I bouught this product to sanitize bottles and jars for my fermentation and brewing projects. Well, actually I wanted to buy Star San, but it says "brewing" in the title and I thought it would be better for my projects. I researched the differences, but it should be just your preference. Star San forms and Suniclean doesn't, etc. People say both works very well. Anyway, it has some chemical (bleach-ish) smell to the liquid but I didn't really smell it after rinsing. I have some wine fermentation going on in the jar I sanitized with this product, but there's no smell left to it. Overall I'm satisfied, but still curious about Star San.

Easier than running around town to purchase.
Basically it is just sanitizer, but pricing was fair, shipment was fast and product arrived undamaged. I prefer this item due to the low suds formula even though it takes a couple extra minutes for sanitation.

Nothing needs to be said. This stuff is the real deal, if you'e having problems, it's you, not this product.
