I will belong to him, whether I want to or not. The day I started seeing ghosts - my life went to shit. Too bad the Fates don’t hand out gift receipts because respectfully, I’d like a refund. Unfortunately, those meddlesome hags aren’t even close to being done with me. A powerful, destructive creature is on the prowl and threatens the existence of the universe. The only way to stop the creature is with equal destructive power. That’s where I come in. Not that I have any kind of destructive power of my own. That would have been way too cool. Instead, I’ve been tasked with acting as a supernatural dog walker for an equally powerful creature. Of course, said creature happens to be my ex from a previous life. Yeah, it’s as messy as it sounds. He’s lost me once and will stop at nothing to possess me. To cap it off, we’re bound by a bond that makes me burn for him, even when I’m not sure I like the guy. I’m fine, totally fine. (I’m not fine). Review: An emotional rollercoaster that makes me yearn to read book two - *Spoilers ahead* My review goes into depth about some of the negative views i have on the story, and although I don't give away what happens, I do bring up intricacies of the story that tie into a lot of the core elements of the book. To preface, Im not much of a reader. This book makes me want to read it again and i just finished it days after buying it. I haven't committed myself to a book series since highschool, so when i picked this up from various recommendations, and some snippets. I was bewildered at how enticing and beautifully worded the story is. The first night i started reading this, I hyper focused on it, only intending to read 1 chapter before bed. I ended up reading 15 chapters. Finishing this book tonight reminded me of heartache and longing knowing it’s probably gonna be a good bit before i get to read the next. The cliff hanger is brilliant and overall Id give this book a solid 4.7/5. One of the only things i didn't like about the book was how long it took the initial story and exposition to establish the background and character for the FMC to really get to the main plot of the story. As soon as we got word of what all was going on, the intensity went from about a 4 to a 9. Things felt well written, throughout most of the story the Author gives us good looks into the FMC’s thoughts and personality and I feel like theres a ton of life thats been put into both the FMC, and the MMC. The only other thing Id possibly mention as a “dislike” in this story. Is how strongly the rules of the universe say how they're destined to be together, and quite literally state “You had no real choice, it was an illusion” to the FMC at one point. So because of there are a few instances where it feels like things are a bit forced which I mean technically they are once you understand the rules of this universe and how its portrayed its very obvious why the stuff thats going on happens. I think the author really did a good job creating individuality and this kind of struggle between the FMC and “destiny” and so while in some parts it feels like “They love eachother because they have to for story purposes” its really elaborated on about how set the FMC isnt willing to let fate decide all that for her and stays to her morals and feelings. I think the situation presented of a “destined bond” really highlights and showcases how much of a difference in personality, interest, or even perspective there is between the two main characters. Would absolutely recommend. Review: Loved It! - This book is one of those hidden gems that you don’t expect to fall in love with, but once you do, you can’t put it down. I found it purely by chance on Instagram when the author posted a reel showcasing the book’s dedication, which instantly grabbed my attention. I went into it blind, knowing nothing of the plot, and I have to say—it was an unforgettable ride. If you’re a fan of the Bewitched series by Laura Thalassa or ACOTAR by Sarah J. Maas, plus enjoy mythology, tales of good vs. evil, prophecies, and dark romance, then this is definitely the book for you! Vivian, the female lead, is extraordinary. Her inner monologue and quick wit had me laughing out loud at several points. She’s so relatable—dealing with loss, bullying, and being ostracized, yet she doesn’t let these hardships define her. Instead, they push her to escape and start anew. Her character is raw and vulnerable, and her strength shines through, making her one of those unforgettable heroines you root for until the very end. Vivian’s love for romance novels, which she credits for saving her life and giving her happiness, adds such a charming layer to her character. Her relationships with her friends, especially, reminded me of the Night Court crew from ACOTAR—that tight-knit, unbreakable bond. I loved every minute of their dynamic! Then there’s Leon, who is this chaotic mix of Memnon and Tamlin. Without spoiling anything, just be prepared for a wild, intense ride. Leon is a “Destroyer,” a creature created to maintain the balance between good and evil. Vivian holds the key to his magical collar, and she’s been magically bonded to him, giving him a strange and dangerous control over her. As the story unfolds, the tension between the two of them is absolutely captivating. The plot itself is a fascinating modern fantasy incorporating pieces from various mythological traditions into one cohesive story. Vivian’s paranormal abilities are fascinating, and I’m eager to learn more in the next book. The pacing is fast, and I devoured this in a single 24-hour binge. That being said, a massive trigger warning is needed here. The book deals with abuse—both physical and psychological—and some of the descriptions are quite graphic, making for a heavy, emotionally charged read. It’s not for the faint of heart. And the ending?! It’s an absolute cliffhanger that will leave you breathless and your mind spinning. Overall, I absolutely loved this book. It’s dark, intense, and perfectly suited for those who enjoy fantasy romance with high stakes. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to dive into a dark, captivating world full of tension, magic, and some seriously complex characters. Be prepared for some intense moments that will stay with you long after you’ve turned the final page.

Good plot, could-be-better writing?
Decent! A really cool plot but is too fast paced for me. Lacks detail and sometimes I found myself somewhat confused and having to re-read parts to fully follow the story. With that said, I m am looking grossed to book 2 and 3 and will finish this Trilogy.

Who's a good boy?
Modern day fantasy, ancient cities mentioned, realms and ancient gods vibes. I actually can't even remember when I enjoyed the fmc's character as much as I did with this! I had so much fun with Vivian, she has the most sarcastic and self-ironic POV that suits my taste so well!!! First half of the book went so fast even if it took the story itself forward quite slowly. For me, the entering of the MMC actually dimmed Viv's bright personality a little but later on I realized why that was the case... For those who love their books ultra spicy, this might be too tame, but if you like story with lighter "seasoning", I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I actually picked this one because I saw one line (ONE LINE!) from book 2 and wanted to apply as an Arc reader for that one and this did not dissapoint!

needs more trigger warnings
Good read but I feel it is a bit darker than what the trigger warnings led me to believe. Definitely worth the read if you like a bit of a dark paranormal story

ACOTAR Vibes
🌶️ 3/5 ⭐️ 4/5 Check TWs I wasn’t sure how to feel about most of this book, but I did binge it and I did like it. I think I was feeling confused but I was meant to feel that way. I had a lot of questions and a feeling things weren’t quite right but again I think I was meant to feel that way while reading. It very much gives ACOTAR vibes. I am excited to see where this goes. And thank you for giving an epilogue because that cliffhanger was brutal.

A very nice surprise
I get to this book through a post on social media showing the dedication, so I didn't know what would I be reading, and I must say, it was a very good surprise. The story has everything you could need: plot, spice, something to laugh, something to cry, ghosts, a very brave FMC, so many twists... Just, do yourself a favor and go read it, I promise you won't regret it.

OH MY HEEEART
Melody!!!! This book is just 😍 The first four chapters give so much insight and depth to Vivian as a person. It could have so easily just been her discovering her “talent” and then boom, 4 years later. But Melody made sure you understood Vivian and how she got to be where and who she is as a person in the present. The character growth and world building is just *chefs kiss*. No stone unturned but also not useless stone turning. It’s the perfect amount of stones. 😂 Vivian is so strong. The girl is boss beach incarnate and I’m SO HERE FOR IT. There’s a level of confusion that keeps you in suspense but doesn’t push you into “annoying”. Leon is a 🤡 and really really peed me off 😒 Man needs a head adjustment (with a chair) for real and I can’t wait to see her get her dues from him. I need more. That little sneak peek you dropped? Has me gagging for more!

Consigliato!!!
È avvincente, piccante, romantico, DIVERTENTE!!! ... Consigliato! Complimenti Melody! Aspetto il 2!

Hidden powers and secrets to unveil
I absolutely loved this story! The fast-paced plot kept me hooked from start to finish, and the blend of contemporary and fantasy elements—with just a touch of dark romance—was perfectly balanced. The female main character is fascinating; it feels like she’s still holding back layers of hidden powers and secrets that I can’t wait to uncover. The male lead has his own emotional journey to work through, and while he's far from perfect, I really liked his depth and complexity. Overall, it’s a compelling read that left me eager for more.
