Leaf Spray Gold 400ml

The paint is really nice. However, be careful not to spray it over water based paint. A white background is recommended and this proved to be fine. I also sprayed it on raw wood and the finish was great in terms of colour but the grain of the wood raised making it feel like sandpaper. This was not an issue for me because the raw wood was a pair of carved corbels, which were out of reach of touching. It was good value for money, the excess could be cleaned easily with white spirit .

I’d been looking for a gold spray paint and bought one or two cans before I found one that actually looked like gold, I had already bought two before and they looked more like copper and bronze than gold, but this one was quite good

Its all depends what are you after, but didn't match my expectations. The colour is not shiny metallic I expected, and a bit too liquid, which makes the shiny golden particles to not stay where you want them. Expect couple of layers to make it nice. Also this is the first time I had problem with paint blocking nosel between putting layers, so make sure to clean it well between uses.

The nearest colour to gold leaf I could find. Good coverage if you apply a reccomended base colour.

Coverage is poor.

Really pleased with this product. I reguilded my parents headstone, as you will see in the picture, and it made a very professional job.

Plastikote is great... always will be. The main thing I wanted to note was that this gold is quite yellow. It wasn’t the more antique looking gold that I was after!
