Works Amazing
I really love the brand, but don't like the price. I jumped at the chance though when I saw this product. I have acne prone skin, and I wanted to try something new. I am tired of my acne and while the routine I was using was allowing me to keep some small breakouts here and there, with no big ones, but that's it. I wanted to try something that could really help. So far this has been great. A little goes a long way, so even though it is expensive it is worth the price in my opinion. It is a nice thin - but not watery - and it is a gel lotion cross. It goes on smoothly and feels refreshing. Skin is moisturized and you get a lovely dose of salicylic acid to help keep bumps at bay. So far it has done a great job. It doesn't feel oily and it absorbs fast. It doesn't really have a smell and I have found no adverse interactions with other products that I already use. I also found that there is no irritation or burning. It is a nice, light gel that feels good. The bottle is thick and the dispenser is perfect - there are no issues with too much coming out. This is expensive, but so far I am thinking it is worth it. I would highly recommend this as it is great quality and actually works.

A bit drying
I live in Colorado awhile but even with the dry air, I still break out from the oil my body produces to keep my skin moisturized. I decided to try this to see if it could balance things out with my skin as it comes from a reputable brand. This stuff isn't thick and reminded me of a blend between a gel and a light lotion. There's little to no scent if you are sensitive to fragrance. I seemed to breakout less and this lotion did seem to make my skin less prone to excessive oil production. While I thoroughly enjoyed this product and think it's a quality lotion worth trying, $40 a bottle gets expensive after awhile. I wouldn't rebuy based on the price alone.

Excellent lotion
This is the first Kiehl's product I have tried. I've always heard of the brand, but the price tag was hard to stomach. I received this salicylic acid moisturizer and have to admit I'm impressed. It is a lovely thin, lightweight, gel lotion. It absorbs right away and a little goes a long way. I honestly love the texture of the lotion. I've been using it for several days and had no adverse reaction. I was having a few acne spots starting to develop, and this lotion has been helping them to go away. The lotion does not have any scent. Overall I love it. The only con is the price point for the size of the bottle (it's only 2 fl oz for $42.00 which is a bit steep). However the consistency of the lotion is great. This may be what tempts me to finally try some other Kiehl's products.

Lightweight and Gentle acne-fighting gel.
Kiehl's is a brand known and loved by many, including myself. Acne is something that I am consistently dealing with, so I was very interested in trying their Expertly Clear Moisturizer. The formula features 1.2% Salicylic Acid & 2% Niacinamide. My skin has responded quite well to these active ingredients, and this was no different. What I love most about moisturizer is how gentle, yet effective it is. I’m currently using it to spot treat my acne, and I’ve seen some steady results. It’s non-irritating and decently moisturizing as well, which is a combination that can be challenging to achieve.Overall, I highly recommend the Kiehl's Expertly Clear Moisturizer with 1.2% Salicylic Acid & 2% Niacinamide if it fits within your budget.

Good lightweight salicylic acid
This is a high quality, mild salicylic acid lotion. It's more of a gel than a cream. It feels very light on the skin and provides a little bit of moisture, though not a ton. I don't feel like it's pore-clogging at all. I like it for my normal-to-dry skin, because it's not a super strong acid, so it doesn't dry my skin out more. I can layer it with moisturizer too.My only minor concern is it has niacinamide in it, which sometimes aggravates my skin. So far, I've not had any problems, so I think maybe the amount is low enough.
