Another good book
Another excellent book by Charles Trang as usual. With extensive photo coverage of some of the various Waffen SS units, with quite a few never seen photos and a number of photos from the ECPAD archives..The reason i have not given the book a 4 or 5 star is that unlike Heimdals Totenkopf book it is only available in French. An English version would have been deserving of a 4 or 5 star.

Very good book , poor paper quality for an expensive book.
This is the latest in Charles Trang's epic "Dictionnaire de la Waffen SS" and covers the more obscure units which were mainly based around non German troops, 14th to 33rd. As with the previous volumes, some excellent photo's, which captions a reader with limited French can manage. Obviuosly a smaller number of photo's per division given the number dealt with , and the rarety of late war photo's. Charles Trang has done another great job here, with about 800 or so photo's, most of which are good to very good quality, and the less good are still interesting. My only complaint, and reason for deducting a star is the quality of the paper. Heimdal books of even a couple of years ago were on high quality glossy paper.I did notice that volumes one and two of this series were not quite so good paper wise, and are now printed in Italy. Unfortunately the paper in this volume is worse still, and well below that of older Heimdal books.Presumably it is to save costs, but at 58 a book seems hard to justify, and may well put people off.The book was only published in December, not April, and seems to be hard to get hold of.I got mine via Amazon France, with very reasonable postage to the UK.Recommended despite the paper issue.
