These coffee bags are really nice, you do need to have a vacuum sealer to close them up, they do have a tear out tab to access the ziplock like seal. So far I haven't had any issues with these. They hold up the vacuum well. I love blue and this one is just WAWAWEEWA.

The bags are good quality and look good, but they are huge. The “16oz” bags can easily hold 2lbs of coffee. Seriously… it could hold 16oz of feathers. They’re also too wide for my heat sealer… I guess I should have paid closer attention to the dimensions listed. Quality wise, they’re 4-5 stars, but I’m giving 3 stars for the inaccurate size labeling.

You will definitely need a heat sealer for these bags! My foodsaver quit, so I had to improvise with a clothes iron to seal my coffee. A 16-ounce bag is going to be perfect for me to repackage 2-3 pound bags of coffee to better maintain the freshness.The shape of these bags is great, with a nice wide base to allow it to sit stable. The tear strip to unseal the bag is good, and I like the ziplock for resealing the bag. The best feature is the vent, to keep my coffee from outgassing too much and exploding the bag. I ordered the blue bags, which are a spectacular metallic blue color! I can see a coffee shop using these to package their coffee beans or teas with the eyepopping color, and these will make it easy to find in even the darker corners of a cupboard!

If you have the ability to do a heat seal at home, these are perfect for you! They are sturdy, keep odors and moisture out, and stand up without risk of tipping or collapsing once there is anything inside of them. Works perfectly for coffee but also for small snacks/herbs/etc. that you want to keep in a more airtight container than a ziploc baggie.

Apparently, I didn't realize that these cnan only be sealed with a heat seal. I thought these were regular storage bags that could be filled and just closed. But, the zipper is only on one side so they can't be closed. The pull to open doesn't work as it's sealed shut. I tried to get as many photos. The title says self sealing storage, that to me doesn't mean that I need a machine.

These bags are very thick and well made. They have to be heat sealed to work so keep that in mind before purchasing. These bags are high quality and I like that they are resealable. They stand up on their own once you fill them and they hold a large amount. I like to use these for bulk snacks and coffee I buy to keep them fresh longer. I love the red color as well, it is very vibrant and fun. Overall these are nice and work great.

I buy a lot of bulk items when possible. I use my food saver sealer to completely shut these and no issues. I stored nuts in these also and they stayed perfectly fresh. Perfect for my coffee beans. Nice quantity and these can be reused multiple times.
