Very good and strong

It's microporous medical tape. It's useful for bandaging and for securing bit of you that... well, need secured. I banged up my finger recently and, to keep it still whilst healing, I taped it to another using this. My wife had a minor surgery to remove a polyp and had trouble keeping the dressing in place afterwards. This tape did the job.The thing about this stuff is that you ought to have it handy, rather than trying to buy it when you need it. I can assure you that a trip to a pharmacy when you're already bleeding adds a dimension you don't need to your injury. So this is a handy pack to buy and have available when you need it. Any household ought to have a basic medical kit or medicine cabinet and this ought to be a part of it.As for this tape in particular, it's okay. It's no better and no worse than other tape of its kind. What slightly marks it down for me is that it's a box of four tapes that aren't individually packaged. If they'd come in their own wrapping, that would make them more useful. But it's a perfectly decent pack at a perfectly decent price.

Everyone needs a supply of this tape in the first aid box. It's very strong and a great alternative to stretchy sticky plaster if you have allergies. With these four rolls you should be set up for a long time and you get piece of mind knowing that when you need it, you have tape ready to go. It's a no brainer...buy some today.

Hopefully this is more tape than most people will need to use for years. If you try to get a piece of tape off by tearing the tape kind of ends up getting wrapped together in an annoying way as its actually pretty stick which of course is the whole idea. Using scissors if you have them handy works much better. My partner used this to strap a couple of toes together after giving one of them a bash whilst barefoot in the shed (yeah!) and it works really well for this. You could also use it to hold dressings in place particularly if you have an allergy to normal sticking plasters. No reason not to have this in your first aid box.

Micropore surgical tape has long been a favourite of mine as I have an allergy to most stretchy plasters or rather the glue used on them. Thankfully micropore tape is hypoallergenic so it doesn't cause this issue.Sold here in a pack of 4 x 10 meter rolls this is exceptional value and currently selling for just £4.99, brilliant!What more can I say, but some today ;)

It says this tape offers “Crystal Clear Transparency” and is “easy-to- tear” but neither of these things are true. It is white both on the roll and when applied, and VERY hard to tear without making a big mess. Looking into it, I think whoever wrote this listing is getting it confused with Transpore, which turns out to be the name of the type of tape I was actually looking for. This may be a perfectly good example of Micropore, but it does not have the properties promised in the description and was not what I was looking for.

These are very good quality rolls of micropore tape, definitely on a par with the 'real thing'. At time of review they were £5.99 for 4 10m rolls, which is excellent value.
