XLR Cables 6ft 2 Pack, Shielded Balanced 3-pin Male to Female

This two pack was pretty much perfect for what I needed. One cable for me, one for my kid, and now we can both plug into our newly acquired audio interfaces and make questionable musical decisions at the same time. I am using mine to connect my Fifine microphone to an audio interface on my PC as part of a little in office micro studio setup. Nothing fancy, just a compact spot for recording, playing around with audio, and pretending my desk has now become a professional studio. The cables themselves feel surprisingly nice for the price. The connectors have a solid metal build, they plug in securely, and the cable feels flexible without seeming flimsy. At 6 feet, they are also a good length for a desk or small studio setup without leaving a giant pile of cable on the floor waiting to attack my ankles. Most importantly, they do the complicated job of carrying sound from point A to point B without drama. No loose connections, no weird issues, just plug them in and get to work. For around ten bucks for two, I have zero complaints. The micro studio is coming together nicely. Whether anything recorded in it deserves to escape the room is a separate issue.

These short patch cables work good for quickly patching nearby equipment and inputs to our mixing board. They're especially good for booth mics or sub-mixers. The XLR ends plug in smoothly and the release mechanism works exactly as it should. These have longer sprung strain reliefs and are color coded for different applications. The cable is relaxed and lays flat also. We use these every week for both live room and live stream work and haven't experienced a single problem. I highly recommend these for your studio...

Well built cables, quality solder connections. Uses industry standard wire clamping for a very secure cable hold. The strain reliefs are a nice touch. The connectors themselves seem very well made and sturdy, should last a long time. They fit snugly and give a solid connection. Cable used appears of good quality and uses copper wire. Only thing to note is that the shield is connected to the connector housing so this will pass phantom power. It is very easy to snip the connection if you want to disconnect this. Overall very happy with my purchase.

Update: I need to update the review to 4 stars to acknowledge the vendor support. After I reported the issue in the review, I was provided with option of full refund (although my Amazon window was already missed) or replacement item. I opted for providing another chance because I would have needed another cable anyway for 2nd mic. They shipped the product overnight. couple days back, I got time to test and both cables worked. The replacement packing looked kind of old and scratched but as long as the it works, considering the response, I am updating the review. Earlier Review: Waste of money....I did not need to use both cables until last weekend. The one I used out of pack of 2 worked fine and mic sound was excellent. Now, we need to use 2 mics in mixer and one of the mics did not sound good compared to the one I always used. Initially we though mixer or mic issue but then when I switched the cables, it was clear that one of the new cable that was never used was bad. The mic that worked fine did not work with bad cable and the one that did not sound good was now working. I have missed the return window so I am stuck an will need to spend more $$ to get another cable. DO NOT buy this one....

Nails the value metric just fine. Fitment is really snug. Good or bad at least on my TASCAM SS-R1 CF recorder. Other projects need more balanced cables so this will find itself on my upcoming FIIO Warmer R2R DAC. I tend to run balanced anyway for the noise cancelation benefit of balanced. Other than that RCA single ended is fine. Since my headphones listening is also balanced. I am not a believer in the golden nugget hyper expensive cables promise. I used to sell High End cables, and stories were fun, but none bought expensive ones per my recommendations. Just the fundamentals. Good ferrules ends, or XLR ends this is about 3 star there for the tight fitment I think beyond normal. The jacket and noise rejection is fine. The spring is interesting. Whether that Isa benefit remains to be seen. Smart looking cable though. I think the WBC cables sold here are better, but these had me really curious. Cable Matters I had bought many are excellent. Cheap, effective. They never fail. This is a new one here for me. Whether home theater, my production audio, or 2 channel stereo projects. This cable will show if I can call these reliable. So far so good. Will be watching fitment though. Provisional recommendation at this time. I may do some sample to sample measurements for roundness of the XLR male ends compared to others I have.
