Money Wasted!
I expected more from BowFlex. Granted it is not a home gym but I guess this time around I paid for the name and not the product. I'm looking to sell my Uppercut since the return time has expired. If not, it can come in handy as a chair.

constantly comes out from underneath me
This thing is very difficult to keep in place beneath yourself with generic push ups. The only thing I'm able to do is flies, and that's because there is a handle I can hold on to.

Overpriced and moderately effective for people just starting strength training.
Over 30 exercises - but only useful for people with low muscle strength. If you already lift weights or do calisthenics (body weight exercises) then you are already beyond the target audience for this machine. The basic idea is that the machine provides assistance for body weight exercises (using the cables) and acts as a stool for elevated calisthenics. Lay your chest on the pad and use your arms to push/pull apart and push/pull together the legs. Change the cable tension to add/reduce the resistance or support.Who is this machine for?If you can already do a few body weight push-ups, you're beyond this machineIf you bench press or fly with more than 60% your weight, you're beyond this machine. If you can do more than 25 sit-up in a row, you're beyond this machine. If you have a coffee table, chair or stool, you can use that for inverted exercises and you're beyond this machine. The basic idea is that this is a supportive machine for people just starting out.Build QualityI do feel that the construction of the machine is excellent. The plastic is very strong, while staying light. The legs use a system of trellises (much like a bridge). I found no flex in the machine, other than what was supposed to move at the pivots. The chest pad was very comfortable and my wheels rolled even on my shag rug. So this is a well-built machine (5 stars there), but the usefulness is just very limited. My adviceGet this book You Are Your Own Gym: The Bible of Bodyweight Exercises if you want the #1 book on calisthenic (body weight exercises). Get the Bowflex SelectTech 552 Adjustable Dumbbells (Pair) and Dumbbell Training, if you want to isolate muscles to build more muscle size. A good set of dumbbells (BowFlex are what I own and prefer) will last a lifetime and give you a much better workout. Dumbbells, a padded mat, and a towel are the only "exercise equipment" in my home gym. Everything else I can do without equipment or using a wall, chair or coffee table (warm up, stretching, calisthenics, running, swimming, yoga, core/abs, variations, etc...).

Not worth it
The ads are kinda misleading, you get a mild workout from this but your better off doing push ups and if you really wanna do pikes and other exercises invest in a TRX or some other product
