Cymex Cream for Cold Sores x 2

I would definately recommend Cymex. It is better than the expensive ones and I have been using only this to get rid of cold sores for many years and it is a great price much cheaper than the big brands

Effective cold sore cream. 10g total is enough for a lifetime of cold sores I imagine. My first tube still has some contents despite being used for a few cold sores over the last year, so size isn't an issue and you can forget about buying cold sore cream for the foreseeable future. Handy to have available, and it delivers quickly if you're buying it with a cold sore already developing! Definitely the best price/value I've found, whether it's online or in a pharmacy, and it works perfectly to relieve cold sores - it isn't beat by any expensive pharmacy tubes!

It was good it clear up the cold sores

A long time ago, when I was around 26 years old, I was on holiday in Cornwall and I got a huge cold sore, that covered the whole of my bottom lip in yellow pus! When I get cold sores, I don't normally get any itching or blisters. I just get big yellow lumps! Ergh gross! Anyway, the only way I could relieve the pain, was to hold my lip under a cold water tap, until it went numb! Coming home from Cornwall, we kept stopping at services so I could run to the toilets and numb my lip! In the car, I held it in a cup of cold water. The pain was excruciating. Fast forward to getting home, I saw my GP and I ended up on antibiotics, because of the painful infection. After a week I started to feel better. I get these cold sores, when I am ill, or don't have enough protection on my lips when I'm sunbathing. I've tried everything on my lips (zovirax, blistex, all sorts) for almost 40 years, without much success at all. You name it, I've had it. Until, I went to a chemist in Padstow a couple of years ago, when my lips flared up again and I couldn't eat or brush my teeth because of the pain! I was embarrassed to eat out (what would the restaurant think of my using their cutlery?) and I was very self-conscious by how I looked and how much pain I was in. The pharmacist had a look and told me use Cymex. I did, but the damage was done, so it didn't have that much of effect. Anyway, my lips flared up again this week, after an awful virus I've just had, with the pain in my lips keeping me awake at night etc., I thought 'here we go again'. Fortunately, I had extra supplies of Cymex in, and I had nothing else! I had little choice but to use it. OMG, has it relieved the pain after each application! Never have my lips responded to anything as well as Cymex, which has not only helped massively with the pain, but the healing process too. I am so grateful this exists, and I will now always have it in my first aid kit.
