Strongway Multi Gym Smith Machine with Weights

Part of my new year resolutions involved quitting my overpriced gym membership and investing in home gym equipment. I had been looking for options for a Smith machine and it was my daughter who found this on Amazon. Compared with other options I had been looking at, the price seemed excellent value and I have confidence in ordering from Amazon and the protection they offer if things aren’t quite as described. The delivery was an interesting one as I got a good workout helping the driver unload from van - not quite sure what he would have done if I wasn’t available as I would certainly say it required 2 people to carry some of the boxes. Assembly was a little bit daunting when I first looked at he number of pieces but once the various nuts and bolts were identified, it wasn’t that difficult. Ultimately I am very pleased with the result. It is very sturdy, has plenty of attachments and I can perform just about every exercise I can think of. The safety features are great and I have confidence working out alone even with heavy weights. Very pleased and I would highly recommend!

I've done a few workouts on this now and it's brilliant. A really sturdy bit of kit 💪🏼 so much flexibility of use and I LOVE it. The assembly instructions require a bit of thinking, but aren't too difficult. I do with there was an Idiot's Guide to installing the cable, but I did work it out. HOWEVER, I wish it had said the overall footprint of the machine before I started, and reminded me to leave a gap at the back for the Olympic Bar rest..! I had shoved mine up against the wall of the garage and it's now impossible to move without dismantling, as adding the rests is one of the final steps and I can't slide it on the rubber flooring (which was obviously deliberate for safety). So, please remember to leave space at the back! Similarly, I installed this off-centre in my garage due to some shelving... I was about an inch short to the left so I couldn't physically slide the length of the squat bar in! I had to partially dismantle the top of the machine and use some brute force to put it in - and now I can't remove it easily, obviously 😅 If you have a narrow space, please consider how you'll get the pole in horizontal BEFORE you start building, and adjust your room positioning before you add the weights. If you are in a standard UK garage, being in the centre of the garage narrow wall should be ok - just! I hope this review saves someone the frustration I experienced during build haha. Enjoy!

Overall this is a great machine. It went together well and does everything advertised. When ordering please remember you are getting a lot for your money, so don’t be expecting a commercial gym quality machine. This is defiantly a home gym standard construction and in my opinion the build quality is good enough, but it does reflect its very reasonable price. It is very good but there are a couple of areas where it could be better. Chiefly, the quality of the accessories. Honestly, they’re just nasty. Some of the links are even made of plastic. I’d of rather paid an extra £100 and had decent accessories. Another niggle is the fact that the smith machine bar doesn’t go low enough. If you’re using a bench to press there is a possibility that it won’t drop enough for you to do the full range of movement. As a result, I am considering removing the springs from mine. And the dip bars… they’re really close together. I may modify those as well. Despite the above, I do recommend this machine. Delivery was very fast (ordered Friday afternoon and it arrived Monday morning). You will need to help the delivery driver when it arrives. The boxes are big and HEAVY!!

I wanted to use this for a good few weeks before writing my review, so far so good it’s sturdy, didn’t take too long to build requires two people instructions were clear, this is a great all rounder for an at home gym you can literally do everything you need it’s good quality would highly recommend

Great machine for home workouts! My partner and I assembled it in about 4 hours (including fixing one small mistake we made along the way!). I’ve done four workouts since setting it up, and I’m so glad I decided to invest in this machine. It’s sturdy, versatile, and perfect for home training.

This is a lovely gym set it has everything you need and more wasn’t that hard to put together but just remember it’s heavy so once you build it you won’t be able to move it without other people but it works and makes working out feel better so I am happy with it will update after I’ve had it a few more months

Very impressed with the quality of the product. Very well built for a home gym, feels like a commercial product in use. Some issues with initial delivery but quickly resolved and sorted out.

This has been an absolutely brilliant bit of kit. I have four boys, with the older ones getting seriously into weight training and this has allowed us all to train regularly. Wide range of possibilities and good for my wife too. Took a few hours to build but very straightforward
