Best Foundation for People Too Pale for USA Bramds
This foundation is a legitimate game changer.I’m a very pale person, 3rd gen Irish-American & with EDS causing transparent skin. I am very, very cool toned. Once I tried a brand at Target with the lightest shade labelled “bone” and the wrist swatch was fully orange even after blending.I tried the brand because I heard about them expanding their shade range for inclusivity after receiving feedback and wanted to support them—best decision ever. It is so soft, my shade is 17C Porcelain which is a much better name than “bone,” and it goes onto the application sponge a bit wet and dries quickly when you put it on. Even after it’s dry you can still easily blend it out, though, with your fingers or with the sponge or a brush. It’s very light on my face but surprisingly good coverage, this is a great one for people who find their little red compacts too high coverage. I don’t feel it at all, it doesn’t overtake everything, it’s just like a pretty glossy filter for my face.I think it lasts the whole day, I could be wrong because it looks so much like my skin that I honestly forget I’m not just having a great skin day until I wash my face in the evening and I’ve managed to turn myself pink and splotchy again. At the very least it’s long lasting enough that it doesn’t come off on everything when I’m sweating and there’s a visible difference until I’ve taken it off. Removal is easy too—just warm water and my regular face routine—which is why I find it kind of surprising it doesn’t get runny when I’m sweating in the summer heat.Pictures of a full makeup look with the brand’s red compact (fuller coverage, same feel and shade) & one half with the aura style vs one half no foundation separated by their concealer stick which I used on my lips to emphasise the switching point!

Tirtir for life!
Wow...obsessed. It took me a minute to get the technique down, but once i did... my word! I have horrible melasma and usually need to slap on tons of concealer and color corrector. This stuff covered it almost completely with one layer. And it feels like i have nothing on my face. It matched my skin tone exactly! No orange cast after oxidizing...it literally looks like my skin but better. And the finish....THE FINISH!! It's gorgeous. Satin with a touch of dewyness. Exactly what i wanted. It also stays really well. I dont like setting powders or primers bc they tend to dry out my skin, but this stayed put in the Texas heat. Im in my early 40s, and it also didnt sink into any of my fine lines. Supposedly the aura formula is not as high coverage as the red cushion, but im shocked at how well it evened out my skin tone. Im ditching all my other foundations after this.

I wanted to give it five stars, but…
I love the make up and the coverage that it gives and the ease of putting it on and being able to throw it into your purse and carry it with you throughout the day. However, it dries out quickly and there’s really very little make up in one of these so they don’t last long. You think you’re getting a good bargain for the price but they last about a month. I even tried to put some other makeup that I use on the sponge, but the color came out all wrong. I wish there was more product included in this make up and that it didn’t dry out so fast.

Good but not a lot of product
Nice product, good skin match and very light weight did not make my skin feel greasy and itchy, but there is not a lot of product in the compact. I like this product because they are great to take on vacation without the fear of leaking.

Perfect lightweight buildable cushion foundation
So grateful Amazon sells Tirtir Cushion foundation! This silver version adds glow versus the others that are more matte. Excellent product - I’ve used many foundations and tinted moisturizers for my 50+ olive skin and I love Tirtir lightweight yet buildable coverage. Not going back to thick liquid foundation! Took a few tries until found perfect shade.

Not for me
I don’t know what it is about cushion foundation formulas that disagree with my skin, but I had the exact same problems with TIRTIR as I had with the MISSHA Magic Cushion foundation. I decided to try this silver compact version since a lot of the reviews on the red compact version said it was drying.Well, this one wasn’t drying, but it did stick terribly to my dry patches and all the other texture on my face. The coverage is poor, I have acne and large pores in my midface that this foundation did nothing to hide. In fact, the only place this foundation looked good was on my cheekbones and forehead, where I don’t have acne or large pores. But what’s the point of a foundation if it only looks good on clear skin? Foundation is supposed to even out the skin tone, but this just immediately settled into my pores and all my redness managed to show through if I didn’t use concealer underneath it.I tried this a few different times with no primer, primer, no concealer, and concealer. While using no primer it started oxidizing almost immediately and looked visibly crusty after about 30 minutes. Also, yes, I did make sure to apply this in thin and even layers. I know how easy it is to over apply cushion foundation! But that didn’t help at all. Even after immediate application, the skin on and around my nose looked terrible. The pores on my nose were even more visible, and the dry patches on the sides of my nose looked even worse. This was with using the elf putty pore-filling primer.Another note: this foundation smells very strongly of baby powder, which I hated. I don’t think I’ve ever used such a fragrant foundation before. I’d rather it smell like plain makeup than whatever fragrance they added in here.I realize that foundation, in general, tends to make acne bumps look worse. But there are some formulas that perform better than others in this regard. TIRTIR is one of those formulas that perform terribly with bumps and texture, you’re better off just using concealer alone.Final conclusion: TIRTIR is not for me.
