The book opens with a very brief foreword by Cory Barlog in which he describes video games as art. Most of the paintings in the book depict locations while the others depict characters, creatures, weapons and there are a few double-page paintings. Many of the creature paintings appear in the 'The Lost Pages' series of videos which were posted online before the game's release.Compared to Marvel's 'Art of' series there are very few character and creature concept paintings. There is surprisingly little of The Witch of the Woods and I would have preferred more images of Kratos and the other characters. The game includes some stunning armour sets for Kratos but some of these are not included in the book.This art book is a suitable companion to the strategy guide. Those collectors looking for lots of character and creature concept art may be disappointed.

God Of War is one of my favourite games of all time. I wanted this artbook for a long while but I was always put off at the last minute. Within moments of it arriving I was already happy with the money I spent. It's such a beautiful book, and as well as, of course, being full of amazing artwork that was vital to get this incredible game made, It also has a generous amount of writing and exposition for the art you are seeing. It is a wonderful look at the creation of this magnificent game. I have no complaints.

I love video game art books. I know GOW is supposed to be dark however after playing the game I wanted more from this book. It did not wow me like game did. I've barely picked the book up since I brought it

Another beautiful art-book from consistently brilliant Dark Horse, I think it has a matte like finish on the cover, lots of content with beautiful images, a must have for any God Of War fan.

This was bought as a gift for my son. It arrived quickly, and was very well packed. It is a very, big book, and extremely heavy. The artwork in it is amazing, it’s certainly worth the money.
