Worth the purchase if you use multiple batteries
I use these for puck lights in my boat as well as for my aviation headset. I rely on these at 30,000 feet and they have delivered so far my puck lights take three of these and I change them out once a month and they remain quite bright. I would absolutely buy this product again.

Good but...
Not a bad battery I got two packs of 4 AA batteries. They came with a twin tail usb A to C for the recharge of the batteries. Now, all of them worked but one failed to recharge, creating a short inside of the unit. Rather disappointed that one failed. I believe it is short to ground since it overloads the usb charging.

Great bang for your buck
In the past 8 years, rechargeable batteries have become quite popular in the market. However, I’ve noticed that the chemistry in domestic rechargeable cells has remained the same. To sum everything up, the batteries act as voltaic systems with nickel metal hydride electrolytes across a semi-permeable ion barrier in between. To the average person, this may not make much sense, but what I’m trying to say is that all of these rechargeable batteries function similarly, and are designed similarly. Virtually the same chemicals are used to create them, and the processes used to manufacture the batteries are similar. However, some manufacturers take it a step further my slightly improving the designs of the electrolyte barrier in the batteries. As a result, a slight capacity increase is added to the battery. This also often means that more money is needed to manufacture the product.Let’s take a look at these aa batteries for instance and compare them to the other major battery manufacturer that starts with a “D”. The biggest capacity for those batteries is 2500 mAh. These, have a slight advantage coming in at 2800 mAh. Now both use the same chemicals inside, but like I explained previously, it comes down to small design changes that improve battery life, which Rayhom has done. Although this difference of 300 mAh may seem small, I am comparing the largest capacity in another manufacturer which I could find. This difference in capacity is a 12% increase, which is quite a lot if you think about it.Finally, at the time of purchase, I also compared the price differences between the 2500 mAh battery and these batteries. During this comparison, the major brand was on sale, and the price per battery turned out to be the same. Given this information, I might as well go for the higher capacity batteries whilst paying the same price. The quality is just as good, and they even come with great cases allowing me to not always misplace the batteries!

They are well worth the money!
I condition all of my rechargeable batteries before use, and I use a Ambient Weather BC-3000, which is a less expensive version of the Opus BT-C3100 & BT-C3400 charger/analyzer. Although these batteries claim a fully charged rating of 2800mAh they only charge from 2225mAh to 2298mAh, but they do that pretty consistently. The good news is they have a good build quality and are cheap. I bought a 16 pack of these batteries for $21.97 making their cost $1.38 per battery. That is not bad for a 2200mAh battery. The price for the regular Panasonic Eneloop 16 pack is $37.39. That is $2.33 per battery for the 2100mAh eneloop. The AmazonBasics AA High-Capacity (rated at 2400mAh) 8 pack will cost you $18.99, which is $2.37 per battery. So for $1.38 per battery, the RayHom AA 2800mAh are the best value. If they had rated these batteries at 2300mAh instead of 2800mAh they would probably sell better. Also, all 16 of the batteries I received were good. All charged slightly over 2200mAh and a few charged to just under 2300mAh. You can check the 4 star ratings for the AmazonBasics AA High-Capacity and see a review where the actual rating for that battery is really 2300mAh, which is not bad either, but it is not a bargain. If you think you really need a higher capacity battery, you might check out the EBL 2800mAh battery. It holds a charge of 2666mAh to 2745mAh and a 16 pack of those will cost $28.96, bringing the price per battery to $1.81. But the RayHom is the best bargain!

Over-hyped, but ok price for what you get. (updated after one month self discharge test)
Packaging - Arrived in 2 little snap cases, with 4 batteries in each start with 5 starsQuick check of voltage for each battery, enough that they would power on devices, but significantly below "Batteries are fully charged before you get it and ready to use out of the pack". Almost all batteries took more than 500 mAh to fill to full capacity, and two of the eight taking more than 1000 mAh to fill. minus 1 starRunning each battery through a complete test cycle (500 mAh charge - 1.48 volts appears to be the high for these, 500 mAh discharge from full to .9 volts), results of 2067, 2067, 2109, 2227, 2143, 2084, 2109, 2168 mAh. While one battery was above 2200 mAh, that was the outlier, and realistically the batteries I received should not even be classed as 2200 mAh batteries, more like 2100. A far cry from "2800 mAh" minus 2 stars (because at this price, I was highly doubtful of the 2800 mAh claim, but I don't believe anyone is forcing them to say it)For discharge characteristics, I am hopeful (but that is not very scientific) that the charge levels are not to full from the factory, thus the low level upon opening the package. I have set aside 4 of the batteries, and will check remaining charge in 1 month. For now, overall rating of 2 stars, with a potential for higher rating if the self-discharge test comes back positive to 3 stars. Would be higher if they marketed these more precisely, and did not feel the need to exaggerate capacity. (note these test out similarly to Amazon Basics AA rechargeable, but with a small discount in price... if marketed as same capacity, easily 4 star initial rating)Updated 11-19Upgraded to 3 stars after 30 day self-discharge test. Batteries tested at approximately 90 percent of total capacity after 30 days of storage at approximately 72 degrees F. This is inline with other low self discharge AA batteries, and gives them a good solid performance. Only wish they would address the marketing claim!
