Does exactly as we hoped
We recently purchased a house that required a full rewire and heating system. It mean some holes were put it, especially on the coving we had. So we needed to pop foam in, to then cut away, before a thin layer of filler. We went with the low expanding foam, and it was perfect for this job. While it definitely expands quite a lot it is lower than other expanding foam products we have used. After a couple of hours it was easy to cut the excess, as planned. Follow the instructions, and you won't go far wrong. I'd suggest using it to fill in about half the area needed. We did slightly more than that, and it was more than we expected. Also, ensure you damp down the area before you spray to allow good adhesion to the surfaces, as per instructions. It dried within the 2 hours recommended, and after filling in a lot of holes, we still have some left in the can.

Low expansion is still some expansion
Works well, sets quickly. Like with all these products it's best not to touch it as it gets messy. Note that 'low expansion' is NOT 'no expansion' and this might catch you out (as it did me on the first job). Tough to say how much it does expand but is probably 50-100%. A test squirt might be helpful.

Oh my.
Ok. So this did the job but what a mess!!!Seriously, wear an old hat or cling film your head like I did (second time around)It drips. Oh boy does it drip. And it doesn't go as far as I'd hoped so I bought a can of a stores own brand locally that was a gazillion times better & cheaper.Cover EVERYTHING!I spent days picking this out of my hair. Scraping it off the side of my face. Cleaning it off everything in a 2m radius.Oh & forget the enclosed gloves that had webbed fingers (man from Atlantis??) I used latex gloves instead as the ones included are like wearing polythene bags & just adds to the chaos.

Really does expand
Bought this to fill up the hole in the wall left by the tube from the tumble drier when I changed to a condenser. I started spraying it into the hole but thought it wasn't expanding like I thought it should, so I used the whole can. Came back an hour later and it had expanded so much it was like I had a beach ball sat in my kitchen and a football hanging from the wall outside. Spent about ten minutes cutting it all away with a bread knife.Good quality expanding foam, but do not underestimate the amount that it will expand (or keep a bread knife handy).

Perfect for the Job
Did just what it was supposed to do, filled both a hole from a pipe being removed and the side of a window frame. Only problem the man of the house had was that the nozzle wouldn't fit on the foam cleaner can so it ended up being dumped. No patience!

Foam
Great if you don't want a lot of expansion

Disappointed
Very disappointed with this product. If you need to fill a small space, find another product. It is very difficult to control the amount of foam coming out of the can, even when you let go of the trigger the foam still keeps coming out. You end up in a right mess, foam everywhere that you didn't want it !
