Very nice

You get what you pay for! Very cheaply made. All of the pieces have a different finish in color, none matching. Some portions are stained correctly others are not! All dark brown w silver screws creates eye sore, cuts are not straight or even, not sqaured. If you know Wood easy fix. Predrilled Screw holes are not straight causing screw to shift in crooked angle, again if you know wood easy fix. The most disappointing is it Has lots of scratches and scuffs straight out the box. You figure as a peice for prayer and worship to our creator, it be build w love and detail. Either or will definitely do the job it's intended for, the seek relationship with my Lord And Savor!lots of room for improvement

The media could not be loaded. This wooden prayer kneeler is lovely once fully assembled, but I have to be honest—putting it together was not easy. The included instructions were unclear and caused a lot of confusion. I even had to take it apart and start over after realizing I had installed the cross piece upside down. The video made it look much simpler than it actually was, so be prepared to go slowly and double-check everything. One thing that surprised me was that the kneeling cushion isn’t attached—it just sits in place and can be removed. It’s not a major issue, but I expected it to be secured somehow. That said, the cushion itself is firm and supportive, and I can tell it will hold up well over time without flattening. Once assembled, the kneeler is very sturdy and well-balanced—no wobbling at all. The slanted top surface is wide and thoughtfully designed with a lip to keep your Bible or prayer book from sliding off, which I really appreciate. The size is just right and it feels very comfortable during use. My biggest complaint, aside from the confusing assembly, is the appearance of the screws. They really stand out against the wood, and it would have looked so much nicer with darker screws or screw hole covers. Also, the finish on the top wood surface looked a little rough, but I used some Old English polish on it and it cleaned up beautifully. Overall, this is a beautiful and practical prayer stool that serves its purpose well and looks lovely once it’s together. Just be patient with the assembly process—and have some polish on hand for touch-ups!Ok update: the day after I put the old English polish on the top it wore off and the defective finish in the top returned. It almost looks like some kind of residue is on it from perhaps tape or something. I uploaded a picture of what it looks like. Very disappointed.

UPDATE- BENCH TOP split in two places: A few days after I set up the prayer bench, I noticed the top surface of the bench had started to crack. I photographed it and didn't get back to uploading the photo until now. (See photo 3). It is now roughly a few weeks after I assembled the bench. I went out and noticed there is a split along the entire board that is the top surface of the bench. (See photo 4). The photo is sideways but the split runs right along the bottom front top of the Prayer Bench that holds the Bible. I had originally thought tightening the screws down too much caused the first split. Now I am not sure that is the case as the second split isn't close to the screws. With that said, I have refinished furniture, and I don't recall ever seeing screws screwed right into a wood surface like they are on this bench. I am no carpenter. Though, it seems to me the warning on the paperwork that is given to "Be careful to install, the wooden part is easily breaken" is recognizing the bench design is extremely poor. When I saw the warning, I had no idea what it was saying to be careful of, since the instructions left out that pretty important detail. I have changed my rating from 3 stars to one because before long the top of the Prayer Bench will be in two pieces, and as I see it, the bench is unrepairable given the split is straight across the top. I am so disappointed, as this is a beautiful bench that I looked forward to having.***** Original Review belowFirst, this is an unnecessarily miserable assembly because the instructions lack details that are critical to assemble it correctly. Also because details are missing that are necessary there is a risk the bench will get damaged with assembly. In fact the instructions specifically state, "Please be careful to install. The wooden part is easily breaken." (Yes that is how it is spelled on the paperwork with the bench, and it is not a spelling error on my part). So, they recognize that care needs to be taken to assemble the bench so the bench isn't damaged but again they leave out details to highly increase the chance the bench will be damaged with assembly.I spent about a half hour before I started the assembly, just looking over all the pieces to try to figure out what pieces were what and where they went. The parts list is drawings of the wood pieces. They are confusing and make it difficult to identify the boards. One letter, the letter E for instance shows 4 separate boards, that are all different in sizes and that go in different places. They did not assign separate letters to each board. I assembled the base incorrectly. There is a larger board that attaches to the base that needs to be put on the side where there are holes for dowels. The instructions fail to mention this. I had to take it apart and I was lucky the holes didn't get stripped from being screwed into the wrong place.I also made another error. I do a lot of assemblies, and I am accustomed to there being a cut out for the screw to sink into, that goes below the surface of the furniture. So, I just didn't think, and I screwed the screws down too tight and this caused damage to the wood. So, it is EXTREMELY important that the screws are not over tightened. Once the screws meet the surface of the wood, and not a bit further, and better yet, maybe a hair above the wood, they should not be screwed down further. This detail should absolutely be included in the instructions. A few hours after I assembled the prayer bench, I went back to look at the prayer bench and I saw the top of the prayer bench cracked. I suspect it happened because I sunk the screws down too far. Moreover, I only noticed after I completed the assembly the screws damaged the surface of the wood in several places.As someone else mentioned, the padded area that is kneeled on, is set on top after the assembly is finished. It is not secured in any way with hardware. It will slide off potentially when getting on and off the bench.This is an absolutely gorgeous prayer bench, made with beautiful high quality solid wood. The finish as well is gorgeous. It is the perfect size for me. I am a female 5' 2". I set my Holy Bible on the top and it is the perfect height for me to see my Holy Bible. I feel strongly that the seller needs to have someone sit down and prepare and furnish detailed instructions on how to assemble this bench. It is such a shame that it is so gorgeous, and I truly do love it, but it was damaged due to just not enough information in the instructions. The kneeling padded part of the bench also needs to be secured as it could potentially cause someone to be injured. If both of these issues are resolved, I would give this bench 10 stars.
