Much sturdier than I thought it would be, the insert gives the option of a second size of post. The socket needs to be buried flush with the ground it's being placed in to give the proper support which requires a good bit of whacking, this can bend the opening lip of the socket making it awkward to fit a washing line in. I used a block of wood to cushion the blows and prevent any damage.

Be sure to have an extra pair of hands around so that you can use a spirit level to know it is going into the ground perfectly vertical.

Excellent,good quality and good advice from one reviewer to use a piece of wood to knock it in so as not to mis shape the metal!
