Great pencils
Smooth and easy to use. Good quality pencils. The box will protect them.Could have been sharpened before I got them, but as some are very soft that may be best left to the user. The 10B and dark pencils are what I bought them for. The high number H are very hard but do a good job. Not had chance to repeat sharpen yet.Not a bad price for what you get.

Supremely good pencils.
I'm an artist specialising in graphite, so get through lots of pencils. These pencils are sublime. Aesthetically pleasing in Japanese maroon and black traditional livery and gold foiled writing. The hardness level is printed at the top on each of the sides, so you don't need to turn them to see what the grade is. The graphite in every degree of hardness is silky smooth. The wood casings are very high quality, making sharpening a breeze...most of the trimmings were in single very long lengths, so using an open sharpener is recommended, as an enclosed one may jam up. These are an expensive pencil, but worth every penny...I've not found anything better.

Great pencils
I decided wanted to take up sketching a couple of months ago. I'd been using some cheap Temu pencils, which seemed ok (I hadn't really drawn since I a kid). However as I started to improve I noticed they are starting to tear the paper when layering, so I did some research into pencils.I realised that individual pencils can cost more than I'd paid for the entire set I was using so decided to upgrade. After some research I decided on these. They can be upwards of £2 per pencil, but this set had 22 pencils for £30. I had an Amazon voucher as well, so this worked out pretty cheap. They are really nice to use. I'm still getting used to them. I did this drawing in about an hour last night which is quick for me. So far I'm very pleased with them.

I love these pencils
I’m a practicing artist and have always appreciated Mitsubishi pencils. I’m half Japanese and often visit Japan, often buying Mitsubishi products while I’m there. I like the pencils for their high pressure construction, they dont Break easily when dropped, and the graphite is very strong and potent. Even though the pencils have a high pressure graphite construction for toughness the application feels rather soft and graceful.Japanese engineering at its finest.

Just beautiful
Wasn't sure what graphite pencils to go for so after reading all the reviews I chose this set as they seemed like great quality.I'm not disappointed one bit, the pencils really are lovely. They feel very 'balanced' in your hand and very high quality.I really love that there is such a large choice on the B end of the tin, but I probably won't use most of the H pencils. The tin is very nice with a special press on the back opening. The tin feels luxury.I would say if you are looking for a set of excellent quality graphite pencils that look beautiful and work really well you would be very happy with these. If you are a bit more budget conscious I would probably recommend the faber castell 9000 range

My new best pencils
I bought the large set even though I don't use many hard pencils, because of the price per pencils. In fact, this full set gives an incredible range of tones and the soft pencils are darker than their equivalents in other brands. Really smooth texture and nice to hold. I really love using them. I didn't think there was any brand to compete with the FC 9000 but these are seriously better.

Too good to sharpen
I would love to say that these pants is a really good or really bad. But they are just so gorgeous but I can’t bring myself to sharpen them. So I’m right at four stars because they look amazing but I’ve marked it down because they look amazing. So good that I’ve had these pencils six months or so I still haven’t sharpened them to use them. So I really don’t know what good this review is over then if you want a set of pencils that look too good to use these are it.......

Affordable for what you're buying, exquisite to use
This is the best set of pencils out there. I don't know a set of pencils that lays down graphite darker or smoother. The graphite is easy to erase and easy to blend. The pencils also look incredible. I don't sharpen my pencils with a sharpener, but with a retractable knife. It is very easy to cut because the wood is so soft. Sharpening made easier! You just have to be careful because with how smooth the graphite is and how soft the wood is, you may accidentally cut off a bunch of your graphite off! I like that the set is unsharpened, so I get to do it myself according to how I want, but for others that may use regular sharpeners, it might be a slight disappointment, haha. But because of the softness of the wood, it is easier for people to sharpen the wood without it breaking the graphite by accident. In terms of how easy it is to break while drawing, you'd have to apply a lot of strength to break it. I won't ever run into this problem, personally, because if I wanted to get a darker tone, I'd just use a different pencil! Speaking of which, there are a TON of pencils in this set. The darkest tone, even if you apply only a bit of pressure, is still decently dark.
