Brilliant little keyboard
Brilliant little keyboard. Fits in a jacket pocket and is slightly larger than an IPhone 13 or equivalent. In regard to use case, I use the XK01 as my remote desktop keyboard when away from home and it is arguably the best travel keyboard out there, however I was finding it was a bit too bulky to carry with me when I was out for the afternoon and I wanted to leave my laptop/ remote setup in situ. The new XK04 is a keyboard I can see as something that can fill this gap, as this is a perfect size to carry in a jacket pocket for when I'm working from a cafe with my phone as my main note taking device. Although I've only had this keyboard for a few hours, ProtoArc's XK04 is very similar in its overall appearance to a generic folding keyboard I've been using recently, but it appears to be more refined in design, use of materials, key travel and overall usability. My only minor criticism would be the size of the function row, as I think this could be smaller in future revisions to allow for the main keys to be slightly larger, but it's not a deal breaker. Overall this keyboard is much better than other offerings I've seen to date at this size/ form factor. Definitely recommend.

Small, neat, but you need a touchscreen device
I wanted a keyboard for travelling, to turn my mobile phone into a tiny computer. I was choosing between this Protoarc XK04 or the larger XK01TP that has a trackpad , which makes it quite a bit longer. I chose the XK04 because the phone has a touchscreen so can move the cursor on screen with my fingers. So far it is working out like a good choice because this XK04 is very small and neat, easy for typing. The bluetooth link is very responsive and works well.

Good Short Travel Keyboard
I ordered this to replace my Samsung Trio 500 keyboard which I mainly use with the tablet but occasionally use in my office setup. I wanted a small, foldable keyboard to use on the go as part of my editing flow as well as part of my office setup, and on paper this keyboard seemed to fit the bill. When the keyboard arrived, I was really impressed with the quality and feel of it. It folded to a really small size, ideal for travel and comes with a cover and a phone/tablet stand. Easy to charge and pairing to 3 devices was a doddle. The keys felt sturdy with good feedback for typing. The downside was it was just that little bit too small for me, especially using in an office setup. The other annoyance was the placement of the lower hinge which rubbed against my hand when typing.I think this would a good little keyboard for short term travel use but it didn't quite meet my needs. If it had been a little bit taller I think it would have been just right. As it was I returned it and moved to the ProtoArc XK01.I am only giving this a 4 star due to the hinge as it is still a lovely little keyboard.

Feels well made & easy to use.
My Bluetooth Keyboard arrived on time 2 days ago. It feels well made & was very easy to pair with my iPhone, iPad Pro & Amazon Fire tablet. The keys have a nice positive action & click when pressed. I also like the handy little stand that comes in the pack, along with the charger. The stand works well with my iPhone & Amazon tablet. I won’t need to use it with the iPad as my iPad already has its own stand. I don’t agree with some reviews which say they hit their right thumb on the central hinge when pressing the space bar. I don’t know how they hit this hinge, my thumb naturally hits the centre of the space bar & nowhere near the hinge, so this is not an issue whatsoever. So far I am very happy with my purchase.

Neat Folding Keyboard - Not So Great for Touch Typing
This is a really-neat, well-designed little keyboard that's easy to love and would be perfect for very-occasional travel use. It's great value for money and seems well built. There are two problems, however. Firstly, the keyboard isn't angled, so that makes it unpleasant for typing. Secondly, there's a hinge (from the folding mechanism) bang in the middle of the bottom edge, right where your thumbs sit in the "home position". Now, if you're a "hunt and peck" typist, that won't be a problem - but for us touch-typists it's a major irritation, and the reason I ended up returning the keyboard. For me, Apple's brilliant "Magic Keyboard" doesn't take up much more volume or weight, so that's what I ended up buying. Windows users may need to find something else.
