Set of Brass Garden Expanding Hose Joint Male Pipe Adaptor Repair With Quick Connector

These are heavy duty I was surprised at the weight of them aswell excellent product to fix my expandable hose

The kit is good quality and the instructions are quite clear.There are things you need to know before buying.You will need a pipe wrench or mole grips and a 10" adjustable wrench (or similar tools) to get sufficiently tight seal.It took me 3 attempts to get a leak free repair. I found that it is very important to cut the rubber internal hose accurately, and also the outer hose sleeve. Follow the supplied instructions, but push the rubber hose as far onto the tail of the fitting as possible forming a slight surplus "collar" at the end, so that a small amount of the hose is trapped between the Plastic compression ring and the threaded portion. Next, it is essential to push the fabric sleeve through the threaded brass outer sleeve and over the compression ring up to the beginning of the male thread leaving no gap whatsoever.. Then push the outer brass sleeve HARD until the thread engages.Use a pipe wrench to grip the coupling end and an adjustable wrench to tighten the outer sleeve onto the coupling, ensuring the fabric sleeve remains in position around the compression ring during tightening.The joint must be fully tightened all the way HOME, with no gap left between the two parts of the fitting.I said it was tricky!

Thought I was going to throw my expandable hose away as one of the connectors split. Purchased these fittings and cut connector off and replaced with new and was very easy to fitwould recommend.

Have used it a few times now and no leeks. Quit easy to put on the broken hose that leek badly, just followed the instructions. So yes I am pleased with the item and would recommend.

Plastic end on X-Hose cracked. Fitted this and problem solved and successful first time. Remember that before cutting the hose to remove the old fitting always peg the outer cover back along the inner plastic hose or else you will have fun getting the inner out again.

Appear to be well made. However, where I wanted to use these, they have very high water pressure. This caused them to pop apart and shower us with water.

Purchased to repair hose, shame the hose was not as good..

So I bought these to fix my XHose and they worked great, but I couldn't find anything that fit this size quick connect.I read some reviews and people had the same problem. This is the only brass repair kit you'll find and it is very good quality.
