Update: I followed the "Help" guide included when I was ready to return it. As technologically challenged as I am, i made even the mic work Had to upgrade to 5 stars. I've had three of these now. The mic never works. I just keep losing them.

This remote was purchased as an extra for our Samsung TV. It arrived promptly (without batteries) and connected to our tv automatically. Very happy there was no set up to connect the remote and tv. Works great.

So glad to have found this remote replacement option so quickly. Just moved into a new home and upon putting up our TCL Roku TV on a wall mount, we realized we could not find the remote control as it was not in the box marked "TV Stuff" and the remote app was having connectivity issues. So, hopped online and found this item with good reviews and figured I'd give it a shot. It arrived quickly and as described, it immediately worked for our TCL Roku TV, no special programming required. The remote itself if very similar in design to the OEM Roku remotes. The colors are close, the size is the same, there is a slight difference in weight (it feels lighter), it does not have an audio jack input on it as my other remotes do, and it is not a grippy rubbery plastic as the others are. It is smoother and therefore a bit more slippery in hand. Not as bad as the G1 OEM Roku remotes, but somewhere in between the old and new OEMs. I do miss the audio jack function as sometimes I prefer to listen to shows using earpods so as to not be distracted. But that's ok. It will do for now until I can find my original remote. So I definitely recommend it! Just wish it had an audio jack and wasn't so slippery.

It was easy to program it works great.

It almost works. It pairs with the Chromecast (Google TV 4K) but it does not stay connected. Works for about 5 minutes, while you're selecting something to watch. Then you set it down. Pick it up after 15 minutes to pause what you're watching and it is no longer connected. Just has trouble staying connected and working. Battery level is fine. But just isn't reliable. Much more frustrating than it's is worth. Physically it's a nice feeling remote - it looks and feels almost like an OEM remote, same weight, etc. But since it does not work reliably it is kind of a waste of money.
