Lauthen.S Belly Dance Isis Wings with Sticks Women Halloween Costume Carnival Cape Outfit

I've wanted Isis wings for a long time, but never actually got around to buying any. I have taken a long break from belly dance and recently started my practicing again.I get on Amazon to look for items and then boom. Up pops these Isis Wings from Lauthen.S as if to welcome me back to the game lolI was between getting the gold color or the iridescent white, but ultimately went with gold. There is an elastic neck strap as well as telescoping rods to control the movement of the wings. At 57 inches of length, these wings are sure to add some visual interest to your show/performance.

I got the Iridescent White wings for use in my photography studio with dancers and other performers to add a little different look to some of their portraits. The iridescence on these works well from pink to green depending on the angle of the light so each still shot is different and every motion is amplified.The extension rods work well for controlling the wing movement and the fact they telescope helps fit the wings to a much wider variety of performers. I pull the wings in behind the shoulders for excessive material on shorter dancers which is very easy since they are only otherwise attached via the elastic neck strap. More elaborate costumers can also easily hide the strap with a scarf or other decorations without impeding on a stiff rod coming off of that area.

The material is a little more sheer than I expected, but these are pretty and I love the telescoping posts to make them controllable. Perfect as part of a costume!

These wings are supremely shiny and translucent like insect wings. We love the effect, but take note if you need something more opaque. We also like the length and the extendable sticks. If you are a taller person with longer arms, you can collapse the sticks so that they completely fit in the pockets on the wings and do not really show. If you are smaller, you can adjust them to your needs. My daughter is 5' 9" and the wings come down to about 6 inches from the floor when she is not wearing shoes. Some may find the neck band uncomfortable after a while if wearing them as a cape. If so, consider pinning the wings to the shoulders and/or back of your costume to take some of the weight. We recommend these wings as a fun and versatile addition to many costumes.

These wings come in a variety of beautiful, shiny colors. They are large, shiny and translucent with beautiful pleats and a very large surface area. They catch the light and move beautifully. The best part about these (and different than many wings we have tried) is that the sticks with these to control the wings telescope! This gives much more control, much more "wingspan" and beauty of movement for a variety of heights and arm lengths, with gorgeous extension. We are super happy with these!

We are using these to represent the wings on a raven costume for a Poe-themed party. The pleats are evocative of feathers and I feel pretty confident that this is going to elevate what would normally be the most stereotypical costume into one that will probably win the costume contest. The quality is nice, with velcro holding the collar in place securely and extending poles to allow the "wings" to extend a fair bit beyond your hands. This is definitely going to be a show-stopper!

The standard wing-cape design for all of these, which is great, but the manufacturer INCLUDED TELESCOPING RODS! So you can actually use these without having to fudge something with dowel rods! This is great. I'm thrilled.
