BESTEK Forehead Thermometer, Thermometer No Touch for Adults and Kids, Large LCD Screen Digital Infrared Thermometer for Home with Fever Alarm, Non Contact with 3-Color Indicator for HomeI ordered this on September 29th, arrived on October 2nd, via USPS, left in our mailbox, intact and undamaged.The fit and finish is very nice, no sharp edges or burrs, nice smooth finish, extremely light, does not come with batteries but I had anticipated delivery so I had purchased new fresh AAA batteries.Right off the bat I will tell you that the included instructions are absolutely useless. I read it front to back a half dozen times but there was no explanation on how to change it from Celsius to Fahrenheit, AND the web site also does not advise how to switch from one to the other. So I spent twenty minutes playing with it until I accidentally switch modes (but I still don’t know how to switch modes).Once I switched it to Fahrenheit mode, I compared between my tried and true old school under the tongue glass thermometer, then my ear thermometer and this just acquired No Contact thermometer. The readout varied every so slightly, nothing significant. I do like the large and bright display, is easy to read even in the dark. But like I prior said, the instruction manual is useless, it explains absolutely nothing, is a total waste of time. And since this is a new product there are no YouTube videos that I can watch, and the manufactures web site does not even have this thermometer listed.So at least for now, I’m giving it a 1 Star rating because I have no idea if I am using it correct or how to switch modes or functions.UPDATE: BESTEK Health responded to my poor review and did in fact send my a pdf of the FULL USER MANUAL which includes instructions on how to use every feature of this thermometer. They also stated that they updated the web site to include the FULL USER MANUAL. So I am revising my review to a 5 Star rating since BESTEK Health quickly responded and addressed my issue.

This was easy to setup and use. My mother has been in the hospital five times in the past year. I have her own oral thermometer and one for me. I wanted to get one that I could check her temperature when she was sleeping. This one makes no noise and I can go in her bedroom and check her without having to wake her up. If you take care of seniors or children, you need one to be able to keep check on their fever without bothering them. Mama said it drove her crazy them coming in to take her vitals, so I try to do my best and make things easy for her.

Let's get the good and bad out of the way...PROs- Works on body or objects- Temp seems accurateCONs- Instructions are useless- No indication as to what the buttons do- Battery cover slides open too easily- Power shutoff is WAY to fast- Forehead temp is lowI know I said the temp is accurate, then put low forehead temp as a con. The forehead is just not as accurate of a location than the mouth or even armpit. I tested opening my mouth and taking a reading there. That was very accurate.Good luck figuring out how to use this thing. It defaults to C and there are NO instructions on how to change it to F. I was just trying the buttons in every combination I could come up with and accidentally got into the settings. The first one is C/F. There are 4 more settings, but I have no idea what they are for.This product may be good, but it's not worth the frustration of figuring it out on your own.

Solid choice for quick, no-touch temperature checks at home. The non-contact feature is very convenient, especially with kids, and it provides results in seconds and seems to be almost the same as regular thermometer. The screen is easy to read, and the 3-color indicator for different temperature ranges is a helpful feature.The fever alarm is great for alerting us to higher temperatures. The only complaint I have is the instructions are useless. It takes a lot of fighting with to figure out and I'll admits, it made me very leery of the accuracy at first. Overall, this thermometer is accurate, reliable, and ideal for families.

I have a glass oral thermometer, but the mercury line can be challenging to read. Still, it's trusted and always accurate, and I resisted getting an electronic thermometer because I'm more of the "use a tried and true method" kind of person. However, my doctor said electronic thermometers are actually more accurate, faster, and more hygienic since they don't actually touch anything to get a reading. So, newly convinced, I ordered this one.It's definitely fast. Importantly, the LCD screen is clear in both day and dim light. The color does change based on temp readings, which seemed like a gimmick at first but it works. My only very minor criticism is that it takes two AAA batteries and they are not included. This is not a big deal as I always have them on hand. I thought about the benefits of a rechargeable device, as it would probably include a meter to show how much power remains, but I still think a battery-operated device is better in this instance.It has been accurate so far. If the accuracy should decrease for any reason, I will update this review. Overall, I'm impressed!
