Worked great on 2010 Accent. 5 minutes to install, need a small screwdriver to remove old one and a friend to hold the tailgate up during installation.

My original supports that came with the car totally cracked and stopped working. For months I had to use a thick cardboard tube as a makeshift prop to keep my trunk from slamming into my head. Had to get these fixed before moving across the country in my Accent 2007.Seriously, changing the lift supports with these brand new ones took less than 15 minutes and saved me the headache. If you don't know how to do it, look on YouTube. It pops in like a joint and requires a flat head screw driver to open the joint area. I installed it months ago, so excuse if my specifics don't match exactly.Also, be sure to clean the old area off with a towel or something if theres rust or dirt.I'm not a very technical person and I strongly believe that anyone with a bit of intelligence could install these.

High quality hatch lifters - great product, very well written instructions, highly recommend. I had bought a set from a different company (not on Amazon) and they didn't work. I ended up just throwing them away. Am so happy to have found this company and their product.

I am so glad I did five minutes of research on how to change these lift rods myself. Our local dealership was going to charge us nearly $200 to replace them! These are actually higher quality that the OEM tailgate lifts that came with car. It takes, literally, 30 seconds to replace one. I can swap one faster than I can replace a windshield wiper and I'm the most mechanically declined person you'd ever want to meet. My wife was going to come out to help me when she finished brushing her teeth and I had them both done before she could get outside. Use a small screw driver to lift the little retention bands and they pop right off. The dealership was going to charge us a 1/2 hour for labor! What a ripoff. Lift Supports Depot has a nice video on their website showing you how to change them and there are others on YouTube. Tell the dealership to pound sand and do this one yourself.

Both my supports went out in my 2010 Hyundai Accent. The garage wanted almost $300 to replace. A search on Amazon gave this product good reviews and said it was simple to install. I was super impressed with the link to YouTube video showing how easy it was to remove the old supports and install the new. My daughter and I were able to remove the old supports and install these in less than 2 minutes and they work great! Saved myself $270 so I'm super pleased. Read the instructions, make sure these match the ones you are taking off, a very small flat head screwdriver will pop off the old supports, align the new support and snap into place, DONE!

They work just like OEM, infact, I almost feel they work better? Either way, I'd recommend these for the price and quality.
