Works as expected
The blades are sharp and cut branches easily. Little awkward to get fit on branch, but then very easy to cut. Liked them so well bought a second pair so we can both use and save time. Would recommend. Came with protective plastic over blades and boxed well.

Great Shears
Awesome branch trimming shears. Blades are sharp and will cut small limbs from trees with ease. Highly recommend for keeping your trees trimmed.

this product is very easy for me to use. I have been able to take on some pretty big branches and trimming of my trees/ best investment I have made this year

Soft metal cutting edge
I liked this the first time I used it but inevitably ran into a hard piece of wood. The black cutter part of the tool mashed right down. I might buy another cutting piece, if it's available and heat treat it myself. I like the mechanical advantage but after using it once and wrecking the cutting edge, am not impressed. I would have guessed that given the mechanical advantage of the tool, the metal would be a little tougher. I'm going to see if I can replace the cutting piece (it is bolted on) and see if this was just a fluke. This is my second pair of long handled pair of loppers, my best warning is to keep them out of the hands of the young strong people around you - they don't need the mechanical advantage and they can use lopers that aren't so easy for them to bend or otherwise wreck.

Loved them... until the cutting blade broke in less than 3 months
Bought these loppers specifically to cut smaller items. I have a couple of pairs of Fiskars that are over 15 years old, and still cut. The problem I have with the Fiskars are, they last so long, that the cutting blade keeps getting smaller and smaller every time you sharpen them. Given time they no longer overlap enough to completely go entirely through smaller branches. So, I bought these Gnome loppers, just to use on smaller branches. I had a big smile on my face the first time I tried them. They went cleanly though smaller items like butter. Then last week the cutting blade snapped right off cutting a branch much smaller in diameter than the 1.25" (label indicates that on the handle) it is rated for. More like .25". Unless you want to replace them every couple of months, or just want to use them to prune Aunt Edna's rose bushes, I would not recommend them to anyone. It appears to me, they are only good enough for items so small, that you might as well just use little hand pruners on.

Great Garden Lopper
Great Garden Lopper - Wish it was bigger but great for the price and it is sharp.

Not Good for Much
You have to spread the handles so far to get a gap in the cutting area that this tool can be worthless if you're working in a tight space. Never seen one like this where the ratio of how far you have to spread handles is so far off how far the blades open up.
