Soap Base for soap making supplies melt and pour soap base for DIY crafting moisturizing glycerin 5 LB, Unscented

I've been making soap for nearly 5 years now. I've been ordering soap base from Amazon for about two. It's really been hit or miss because soap base isn't cheap and if it's cheap it usually isn't that great. As you can see I added color to this and you can still see the pattern in the fabric underneath it. It has a really rich lather as well, so if you're in the market for clear soap base, don't hesitate

Love this soap base! It's about as clear as you can get, which is important when wanting to make soaps with just a white mica colorant. Melts easily and sets up very nicely. I've made several soaps (holiday) with it. Definitely will order again.

Nice soap base and easy to pour once I got the feel for pouring glycerin. It is a bit more tedious than regular white soap base but I fell in love with the pretty glass look.

These bricks of soap make it so easy to craft decorative soap at home, without having to do any complicated chemistry or use harsh lye. The base also dries on its own, and doesn't need to cure; you start with soap and end up with soap, but you can add ingredients and mold it into any shape you want. The clear glycerine is a great blank canvas for adding essential oils, plant bits, and mica sparkles. This particular base doesn't have any moisturizing oils added, but you can also add apricot oil or vitamin E for that.The 1-pound blocks are easy to cut up with a sharp knife, and are a good quantity for melting in small batches in the microwave. I heat the chunks for 30 seconds at a time, and they take about 2 minutes to melt enough to pour into a mold.
