This was the perfect size for my kids. Easy to use and has withstood being dropped a few times, a must with small children. I would recommend this product.

My son absolutely loves his Amazon Tablet. He had the last version and wore it completely out so it was time to upgrade to the latest one! Now, my son is 10, almost 11, and Autistic so even though it says for 2-8 yrs, I highly recommend this one for even older kids as its lightweight, easy to carry, has an upgraded, thicker outside case, so I don't worry too much about the drops that occur frequently. This is kid-friendly, you have the option to add your child's profile, or use your own, you can switch from one to the other. Tons of games to choose from in apps store, most are free, and I think we will be buying this brand for a long time to come. It's been 5 years now and I'm very pleased with both his Amazon 8 and 10 Fire HD tablets. Highly recommend! Great price too-can't afford expensive. High quality for the price! The battery last usually the entire day, 8-10 hours it will stay on, so excellent for long road trips!

Very nice and fast tablet for your kids. Enough memory to download a nice amount of games doesn't lag or freeze and very sturdy case as well.

My son loves this tablet he is 2 1/2 and it has a restricted kids as well as an adult side. We can both use the tablet which I love. I used the 6 month subscription and it was nice but now i cancelled it and still like the quality of the tablet. The subscription is not neccessary. We have had this since Christmas. Only reason i took off a star is because i have a hard time still trying to figure out some of the tablet.

I have had fire tablets in the past and use a tablet daily for work and personal time. I was hesitant on getting our (almost) 4 year old granddaughter a tablet as I didn't want her spending all her free time inside playing games on the tablet. I love the parental controls which allow me to set limits on screen time, what type of content she can access, and the physical features which protect the pad and screen from damage. As we all know, bumps and drops are inevitable. The unit charges rapidly and is easy to navigate - even for a dinosaur like me. Screen time is dependent upon her behavior and tablet time is a great source of positive reinforcement. Not only that, but as she uses it more she wants to share what she is learning and playing with me. We often work together on letters and learning to read simple words but the system is such that she can move forward on her own if she feels comfortable doing so. Tablet time has also morphed into bonding time for the two of us and has led to many excellent learning opportunities. Even though she is only 4 years old she is learning responsibility in caring for her tablet and treating it as a valuable resource and not just a toy. I thought long and hard before investing in a piece of electronic equipment for a 4 year old though, up to this point, it has been nothing but positive actions and reactions we've seen from her since she first started using it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:We got one for our upcoming travel— Both plane, and car. Wanted a way to keep our little ones entertained but not worry about clicking the wrong things on an iPad (like we had currently been using). After we ordered one, we came back to order a second one! The battery life is absolutely insane. In a good way! On the days my kid has played (probably more than they should have), the battery was still at like 70%. There’s also soooo many included books and apps and shows you can download. My kid only ever plays on the offline mode and everything is still accessible! I even recommended it to a friend! So kid friendly!!! Not to mention we LOVE the parent app. I can see what has been played, how long, and can set how long they can keep playing. It’s a lot easier to put it away when the games and everything become unavailable due to the parent shut off ;) just get it. It’s great!
