Another fantastic product from the Neewer team
I bought this as a damaged box at a reduced price. Maybe it was a customer return. The issue I had was that it came with 2 of the lens adaptors that were the same. So where I was supposed to have one twist lock and one screw in 17mm. I got 2 twist locks. I contacted both Amazon and Neewer about this a few days ago and I guess they’re looking into it. So, why with this issue am I giving it a 5 star rating and not 3 or 4? Well, it has to be about the product itself and the quality of the item in my hand providing not only a good level of protection to my phone but also a chance to add accessories such as mini flash, mic or anything else I might be able to if I want to shoot something in my phone. The build quality is so good that with an added protective glass on the screen I really feel that my phone is well protected. I have already made other purchases from newer including V mount battery and video light and I have to say that although they are considered to be a budget friendly brand they are not only providing excellent value for money but their products are also giving the competition a run for their money. It’s really nice that a company that is trying to be competitive with its pricing but still keen to provide something that is also well made and not just a cheap alternative. This is why Neewer gets my 5 stars. Going back to the cage and its purpose; I really think it’s a great buy and allows us to use our phones more professionally by giving us options we would not otherwise have. Imagine being able to easily attach a small video light to your phone and btw I almost forgot that this also has a very clever hotshoe mounting system and whilst writing this I’ve discovered another 2 (amazing) one on top, another on the bottom in addition to the one on the side. The rubber buttons allow you to adjust your phone controls with ease for volume, power and anything else it does and are very smooth to operate. The lens adaptor is a bit tricky to install and can take a bit of time to get it right but try it without the phone inserted and it should help to make more sense. My iPhone 16 + fits very snuggly inside the frame and I just think this is such a great design and so for anyone who might want to use their phone for filming I really think this is a product that will be appreciated for what it has to offer. So well done to Neewer again for producing another great product.

Great for the money
I bought this because I wanted the flexibility to shift between 17mm threads and Moment's t-series lenses. I couldn't afford Beastgrip (and I'm not looking to attach a DoF adaptor or make big films), didn't like the lack of versatility of the Freewell cage and hadn't had great experiences with Smallrig. This looked good. The cage is solid. The trim is a little loose, but it just needs some care inserting and extracting the phone). I like that the mag-safe area is left clear for SSD drives or chargers; that's really useful now I shoot on Apple Log. The adaptor plates are great, and actually I leave the t-series plate attached to the back of my anamorphic lens. The filter adaptor is perhaps the most useful; I've had excellent results with a black mist filter and VND coupled together. The various threads for attachment to a standard tripod plate are helpful. I use it with a mini Neewer tripod, which also serves as a stabilising handle. Overall, if you're a hobbyist interested in upping your smartphone photography and videography, this is a really functional and solid piece of equipment. It ain't pretty, but it's so easy to switch your phone back to its regular case. Highly recommended.

Strong, Sturdy and very versatile
I've used this cage to put my Iphone 15 Pro Max into, and then screwed it onto a gimbal as I find that it's way better and more reliable than using clamps Not only this but it has quarter twenty screw holes and even cold shoe mounts so i've added a microphone onto the cold shoe which means I can use higher quality microphones with my phone. Something I've been looking for for quite some time. It's really easy to use, just open the latch, slide the phone in and lock the latch and away you go! It even allows the addition of filters which is amazing Great quality too - it feels indestructible so it will definitely last me the lifetime of the phone Great product again from Neewer. I really do like what they do and this cage is one of my favourite purchases from them

Perfect but, let down by QR handle catches. Come on Neewer, sort these issues handles out.
Build quality is great, flip top. To slide phone in, is smooth and feels secure. I have the Smallrig cage which is similar but, the newer one wins hands down, as it comes with three backplates, the Smallrig one, you have to buy the filter attachment separately. It also has a removable section for the side camera button, Smallrig does not. Only criticism with the newer one is, the QR handles and tripo mount, turning the catch is annoying, if this had true QR handles like Smallrig, this would be epic. Come on Neewer get your act together.

GREAT
It functions well with the Neewer Quick Release Side Handle Second Edition. I'm pleased with my purchase; it's a high-quality product that's easy to set up.

Good but a little pricey.
I received this video rig phone stabilizer kit for free through the Vine program, and overall, I’m pretty impressed with its quality and design. The cage is solid, rugged, and feels durable, providing great protection for my iPhone 16 Pro during filming or vlogging. The aluminum alloy frame and shock-absorbing rubber cushions do a great job of safeguarding my phone while keeping everything easily accessible. The installation process is super easy—just one click and the cage locks into place without blocking the camera or charging port. I also like that the back is hollow, which allows for MagSafe wireless charging, a nice convenient feature. One downside, though, is that for the price, I feel like at least one filter should be included. The 67mm threaded filter adapter is a great feature, but the filters are sold separately, which can add to the overall cost. Similarly, the lens adapters for different camera lenses (also sold separately) add versatility, but it would be nice if they were included as well. Overall, this is a solid phone rig for anyone serious about mobile photography or content creation, but be prepared to invest in additional accessories if you want to fully take advantage of all its features.

Sleek and Functional
When it comes to protecting your device while enhancing its filming capabilities, the right phone cage can make all the difference. My recent experience with this phone cage has been overwhelmingly positive, and it has quickly become an invaluable piece of equipment in my filmmaking toolkit. Design and Comfort One of the most immediate impressions when I unboxed the cage was its sleek anodized black finish. It not only adds a touch of sophistication but also feels incredibly robust. Unlike my previous Smallrig cage, which always felt somewhat clunky and difficult to maneuver, this new design prioritizes ergonomics. The rounded edges allow for a comfortable grip, making extended filming sessions far less tiring on my hands. I can even use it as a standard case on days when I'm not actively shooting, which adds to its versatility. Another thoughtful detail is the snug fit of the phone within the cage. It holds the device securely without excess movement, which is crucial for stable shots. The addition of a rubber plug for the camera bar is a nice touch, both protecting the lens and preventing unwanted dust from entering. That said, it would be fantastic to see this feature offered in a range of colors to cater to different aesthetic preferences. Build Quality and Security In terms of build quality, this cage excels in every aspect. There’s a solid, no-rattle construction that provides peace of mind—even during vigorous movements. Everything from the camera array templates to the locking lever demonstrates meticulous attention to detail. This lever mechanism gives an added layer of security, ensuring that the top of the case remains firmly in place while shooting. The assortment of attachment points for accessories is decent, giving you the freedom to customize your setup with various rigs. However, I did find myself wishing for a few more cold shoe mounts to expand my options for placing microphones or lights. Nonetheless, the existing attachment points allow for a good level of flexibility. Ease of Use and Convenience Setting up the cage is a breeze, particularly with the tool-free lens adapters. They quickly snap on and off as needed, allowing for a seamless transition when changing lenses. The addition of a lanyard connector is another thoughtful feature—this small detail increases convenience by giving users a way to securely carry their gear without the worry of the cage slipping from their grip. Overall, this phone cage offers a fantastic blend of style, security, and functionality. While I would appreciate more color options for the camera plug and additional cold shoe mounts, these do not detract significantly from the overall effectiveness of the product. If you're in the market for a reliable, aesthetically pleasing phone cage that enhances your filming capabilities, I highly recommend giving this one a try. It not only protects your device but also elevates your shooting experience.
