Marco Bucchi is already famous for his artwork and online tutorials, but what really makes this book worth learning from is that he's afforded the time and space to cover even the most minute detail about his creative thought processes and techniques. This isn't a book that lobs shallow principles and axioms at you about high-level topics like color theory and character design; Marco goes deep into the very essence of what makes shapes, forms, lights, and colors beautiful, and teaches you highly applicable fundamentals that will enhance your art, no matter what your style/subjects are. This couldn't be easier to recommend.

I love this book. It's got a lot of drawings and examples, and assignements-- with matching video on YouTube from the publisher's channel. I think the videos do not have audio, which I'm not used to, especially since Marco is an excellent explainer -- would have been great to hear him talk about what he's doing on the videos.The book is very well designed, with plenty of negative space on the pages.I highly recommend this art instruction book.

Very good introduction in the foundationals aspect of drawing, using figure drawing as a way to teach it.
