I am a professional electronics tech, and of course, I didn't get this to use as my main iron. I keep this iron around, because I can take it on-site with me (for the rare times I do that), but this also doubles as my emergency backup soldering iron. This iron heats up very quickly, and they give you a really nice selection of tips. I used this iron for a few hours, to remove parts from PCBs that I'm scrapping, and I used the largest tip, which worked extremely well, because it has a lot of thermal mass. It made melting the solder on connections to the ground plane very easy. I will not be using a majority of these tips, as I have several packages of better quality tips (don't get me wrong, the tips in this kit are fine). I like the looks of the clear handle on the iron, and the buttons have a nice feel to them, but they're not secure. While working, I knocked out one of the buttons, but it was trivial to replace. I feel this is a pretty decent iron, that would be suitable for a wide variety of users.

I got this because I've recently started a soldering hobby, which includes trying to build little kits like a clock or a speaker. And while it does work for that (especially the tiny curved tip), I also like to use it as a wood burning pen. I can burn designs into pieces of wood when the tip gets nice and got.This set comes with the soldering iron, plenty of tips in carying sizes and shapes, flux, rosin core solder, a carrying case, and other accessories. Overall, I would say this is fantastic for someone using it for a hobby or small soldering projects.

This iron has great dexterity for tight spots with excellent temperature control making it great for my husband's projects from computer work to larger electronics. If it ever goes out I'll be buying it again for him

I got this to keep my son from using my main iron and fouling my tips. It heats up fast, has many tips, and works well. His only complaint is that it has a cord, and it doesn't take gas like mine. I told him he could upgrade to one like mine if he wanted, but this iron is the one he has to use. He's set up a new car stereo with soldered and wrapped connections, and it came out beautifully. He still needs to clean the tip well enough to prevent build-up.

This is a unique soldering iron that is well constructed, durable, and has a see through housing that looks awesome, and is very functional. The kit comes with everything you will need for most light soldering jobs, and is a compact and portable design. This is easy to use, heats up fast, and solders great. There is a light built in, and lots of features and alternate tips for every use. This is a great value for the money. 5 Stars!

I got a nicer weller set, but I got this incase I need to solder something elsewhere and I don't want to drag all my soldering stuff out, this kit has everything I'd need to get the job done. Good for anyone looking to have a quick solder set, or someone looking to get into electronics, this is perfect at it's price point.

I like the selection of tips that are included in this kit. I also like the led readout for temperature. This is my first soldering iron I’ve bought for myself, and I am very happy with my selection!

At $25 this digital soldering kit is a good deal. The soldering iron is of good quality with abilities for temperature adjustment and sleep mode. Included are 7 tips (gold color), a 30g tub of solder flux, a 50g spool of leaded solder paste, a plastic tweezer, a solder pump, and a small stand. Everything is inside a plastic mesh case. It would be great if the soldering iron is ESD safe (eg: grounded connector)
