Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter,iNassen for iPhone 7 Lightning Audio and Charger Adapter Splitter with Charge and Music Aux Headphone Splitter for iPhone 7/7 plus/8/8 Plus/X (Black)

This seems to actually work -- meaning charge and play music at the SAME TIME (see below) -- which makes it light-years better than the other three I tried and returned. The audio (3.5) connection isn't perfect -- more than extremely little movement of the wire (not pulling the headphone wire, but just moving it) sometimes causes some crackling -- almost like static (for which I took away that one star). But when everything is totally stationary the adapter does allow BOTH charging and listening to audio simultaneously. The reason I stress "simultaneously" is that the other adapters I tried either didn't work at all -- straightforward enough -- or the phone said not compatible and then it worked for a minute and then stopped working -- or -- most annoyingly -- managed to charge or play audio but could not do both at the same time -- obviously defeating the purpose of an adapter purchased in order to charge with a lightning cord and listen to audio through the 3.5 adapter at the same time.

I plugged this in to my iPhone 8; then plugged in a charging cord and a earbud plug. The charger clicked on and off, and the sound came through the phone speaker, not come through the earbuds. I unplugged and replugged and finally got the sound and charger to work at the same time. This worked until I moved my phone, and then it no longer worked. Bummer.

The sound quality is the best thing on this product. It often doesn’t pick up and you have to pull it out of the phone and reinsert it to get it back working. It doesn’t charge fast it charges extremely slow. It’s good temporarily only

This works most of the time. Sometimes it doesn't work or there will be a lag. If you are just listening to music, this is okay (not the best sound quality) but if you try to listen to music and charge then something happens and you can hear a buzzing through your car speakers and lots of distortion. Can't recommend this product.

This is the second kind of this adapter I have tried. I found the same disappointing results as I did with the first one I bought. I followed directions and was able to play my music but the charging part of this adapter never worked. It was connected and said my phone was charging but it consistently drained my battery and never charged it.

If I could give this product a 0 I would. It is hard to listen to anything over the static. It is as if the wires are not connected right. I should have sent them back. I highly suggest you do not buy this product.

Dont buy this. Take your $20, go into the bathroom and flush it down the toilet! You’ll get more out of that adventure than you will Tom this thing. It’s is flimsy and the connection ports are terrible. The sound crackles and the battery may or may not charge and if it does it’s only for a few minutes. It is not compatible with iPhone iOS 11 or higher. They will not give you a refund either.

Durable material seems to be well made. Main complaint is that there is an occasional fuzz sound in my headphones while using this. It comes and goes, isn't bad enough to hurt my ears. Just can be annoying when it lasts longer than normal. Other then the fuzz I have no problem with my phone charging while in use.
