Good product for the price only thing is didn't supply any screw head covers.

The first thing I wanted to address was the reason why I put quotes around the word proper in the heading. I've seen a lot of adverts recently which say their product is a "floating" shelf, but when you go to look it it you soon realise that they are just regular shelves. When you refer to a shelf as a "floating shelf", that means that you should NOT be able to see any of the fixings that are holding it up. On these shelves you definitely can NOT see any of the fixtures and fittings and that is why I refer to them as "proper" floating shelves.These are made from a solid wood called "Soft Paulownia". The name does seem to contradict the characteristics of the wood, but I think the industry look at it from a strength to weight ratio. So despite it's lightness it has a good strength to weight ratio, which makes it really strong and durable for it's weight.I just love the overall look you get with this wood because you can see the grain patterns and some of the imperfections that might not appeal as much to others as they do to me. I've put these on the wall in my sons room as he collects some old figurines and this is excellent for those figurines because of the metal guardrail. They were constantly toppling over on the shelves they were on before but here they topple and the guard rail stops them from falling of and he can go straighten them again very quickly.I love the look the guardrail gives them and thankfully they haven't gone around the sides of the shelves with them as that would have ruined the look. Installation is really easy as the shelves come with predrilled holes and all you need to do is literally put some screws in, slot the guardrails in and that's about all there is to it. I just think these shelves are great and priced very reasonably when you take into consideration that there are 3 in the set. I don't have a bad word to say about them and they get an easy 5 stars from me.

These are a nice addition to any room, to place small ornaments, pictures or small plants. The wood appears strong which is essential due to the floating nature of the shelves. The weight is literally riding on the wooden joint so it does need to be connected well. This certainly does the trick and I've found them to look good in my office.

Great set of shelves that are made out of a solid wood with metal guard to stop items slipping, they lok great when stacked on a wall and really hold well with the supplied fixings. Will be buying more to complete the look in my man cave now I know these are a good quality.

The white paint finish on this set of three shelves, with with gold painted, push-in front guard rails, could be a little better in my opinion. They look nice enough from a few metres away, but not so great if you step nearer, and take a closer look.The paint finish on the shelves looks very similar to a thin coat of primer/undercoat to me, and I made the decision to spray my shelves with rattle-can satin finish white acrylic before fitting them in our family bathroom. (they are now so much smoother, look much better, and can now be cleaned with a damp cloth without it dragging)The selves are not cheap, at over £7.50 per shelf, and I really think the finish could, and should, be better at this fairly lofty price point.

Love these small floating shelves, looks stylish and elevates our bathroom interior. They are very easy to install and strong so it can hold a bit of weight. Good value for money.

I ordered this set of three black floating shelves for my office wall. Die Regale sind sehr einfach und passen eigentlich so gut wie überall hin.Das Holz ist sehr leicht und weich, so dass ich ein paar Bedenken habe, dass sie leicht Macken bekommen, bisher ist aber alles tippitoppi.Durch die Stangen vorne, dienen sie bei mir als Regal für größere Bücher, so dass sie nicht vom Regal rutschen können, also quasi als Display.20 Euro für drei solcher Regale, finde ich allerdings ein wenig grenzwertig, vor allem wenn man bedenkt, dass sie nicht lackiert zu sein scheinen und somit mal kurz mit nem nassen Lappen drüber wischen, eher schlecht sein könnte, auch wenn in der Beschreibung angepriesen wird, dass dieses Holz genau das aushält... ich bleibe skeptisch bis die Regale mir das Gegenteil beweisen.
